Hi, my name is Van Hohenheim, its a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. If you've ever watched Fullmetal Alchemist, you might recall me as the father of Edward and Alphonse Elric. Yes, they do seem to get themselves into quite a bit of trouble, but they are resourceful and always manage to stay afloat. Of course, as you know little Edward smoked the competition at the state alchemy exam. I'd like to say genetics played a part (chuckle). I feel bad because Edward seems to have held a grudge all these years since my absence. How can I make him see that I wanted nothing more than to stay with Trisha and the boys? I was just too ashamed of my own decaying form. I couldn't bring myself to admit the truth to them...Lifespan:
Four centuries old in soul,
Forty years old in his current body. I state that I has lived for a long time and that I thought it wasn't too bad to "accept this body and live on... Until I met you, Trisha and had children." I said that Trisha knew that I had the body of "a monster" yet she still cared for me. My departure from Resembool was part of my search for a means to become mortal, so that I could age and die with Trisha, Edward, and Alphonse (meaning, of course, that I missed the end of her life and their childhoods), although I also left when I did largely because I realized at last just what 'Father' was planning to do with the country. I did not seem to have accomplished much during the ten plus year period of my absence.
Height:
Approximately six feet four inches.
Personality:
Rather gentle and weary; soft-spoken as well.which is most likely due to my extensive amount of time spent alive, under his assorted burdens. This disposition is clearly demonstrated when Edward actually punches me in the face and kicks me in the stomach, with very little reaction
Appearance:
Blonde hair and Gold eyes. In my youth I bore a strong resemblance to Ed, although with different bangs, taller, thinner and a more defined jaw, and was of similar character as well, with a hair-trigger temper and considerable pride. However, I always completely lacked the obsessive drive which characterizes Edward Elric. I was a slave in my youth called "Number 23". Father was created with his blood. I have heard i am a person completely without ambition, who would, if allowed, have been content to go to his grave without ever doing anything more empowering than sweeping floors.
Notoriety:
An extremely powerful alchemist, possibly the strongest around.
Ultimate Achievement:
Forged the Philosopher's Stone and was thus able to jump from body to body.
One true goal:
That I could age and die with Trisha, Edward, and Alphonse,but now that trisha died and "father" has his plans,is now to destroy that what i made in my youth and be a father to my sons Edward and Alphonse.
