Okay, let me just make sure you did it right. just to make suree. ;D!

Hover over 'My Gaia' and scroll down to the bottom which is 'Account'. After you click that, the page with all of your personal data pops up (I'm not sure if Tektek requires this but you need to change the 'Choose Profile' option to 'Current' It's on the page with your personal data ['Edit Profile'] under 'Timezone'), and at the right you'll see a list of options. Under 'Profile' on the list of options is 'Theme'. So click that and 'Profile Theme' comes up. Under the heading there's a boxthat says 'Theme Override'. Then you paste the code from the site your using ad click Submit!

Oh... I'm not sure why that's happening on Skem9.. Are you using Internet Explorer? Because my friend had a similar problem. On IE you can't see his layout, but on Firefox nd Safari you can. Check that if you ARE using IE.
For you media I know whats happenng. xD Clik 'Edit My Profile Layout' again. Whn you do that go to you media box and click 'Edit' at the top right corner. Then enter the URL. ;D!

On the layout the boxes aren't yellow right?
And for he music thing you added 'Media' right? Because i double-checked to make sure I was correct, and on my playlist it says: 'Title' and under that 'URL'..
