I guess you could say that...a lot of girl liked to roll their skirts up. XD We used to ask each other if we were 'smiling' - which basically meant "is my a** showing?" One would be wise to wear short-shorts underneath because sometimes (stupid) boys or even girls would flip a girls skirt. I've seen it being done, but, as far as my eyesight went, it was rare. It was usually done as an initiation. ^_^;; Crazy youth days. Of course after the new principal came in we had harsh uniform codes...what type shoes we had to wear, how high our socks could be and how high/low our skirts could be. They even dictated the colour of our shoes and socks and shirts, and even limited hair colours. Highlites were allowed, but someone couldn't dye their hair purple or some odd colour. She has left since (then again, so have I) but my sister says it still pretty harsh. ^_^ That's why I love being in University, nobody can dictate what I wear. I've seen kids go to their classes with their PJs on. ((Sorry for the long message)).

I only wore the plad skirt in my first year back in grade nine. Since then I only wore the pants...I didn't really care for the skirt. = D

XD No, they don't hit you with rulers...it's not like the old days where we're taught by nuns. The curriculum is more demanding than public school. Up here in Canada the youth don't have to pay a special fee to go to Catholic school (or in some cases, even be catholic), though uniforms are costly.
