The chance items really can be a rip off. I wish I could get some of the pumpkin themed items from the Autumnal Harvest bundle...thing... whatever the hell it's called, I'm sure you've seen it. But nope, I got something else entirely that I can't even use for Halloween. talk2hand And to boot, it's a decent item so I don't want to sell it, but it's also one of those very situational ones (it poses your arms to hold a gun or something? among a few other things) so I'll hardly ever use it. So that was a big waste of money, don't even get gold out of it. rolleyes
It's also my limit for buying gcash for a while, so there goes that.

They really are highly situational items. I like that starry night astra, but it adds this really dark foreground that makes me not want to use it most of the time. emotion_0A0

Yeah their tag/search system isn't the greatest, but it's a thing anyway lol. Sometimes it won't show up just because you didn't search the entire name exactly- that's screwed me in GoFusion. I'd search for an item to check if I'd made it before, it wouldn't come up (falsely), and then I'd stupidly make it again and find out later.
Ouch, that does suck. I have a pink blouse that I really like, but it's much darker a shade than any of my other pink items, so I can't ever use it. emotion_donotwant

Oh yeah, the summer festival had some great ones. Found out about a lot of cool items I didn't know were available. Yeah, I lack brown too! To be fair though, it's also a decently rare color in comparison here on Gaia. The problem with my pink items is a lot of them are different shades, so there's not a ton of combinations I can do. emotion_drool
CrossStitch has some cute stuff, but it's for very specific styles/combinations. You can also try punching in some fall/Halloween related tags into the marketplace. It's a good way to see what the shops may have available (though their tagging is incomplete so always more thoroughly dig in the gold shops too), and you can also find some good user posted deals on premium/event/rarity items. 3nodding

Thanks! I like seeing the other contestants a lot, what the other people come up with. So even if I don't win it'll be cool.
Yeah, that's a problem I have. so many options, so hard to find the things that match. If you haven't yet, definitely raid all of the gold shops. They can really help pull it together.
I'm not entirely sure what I'll do for a full on spooky/Halloween outfit just yet. I've been picking up a few things too, biding my time. Looking. ninja
