razz Well, I can say I know the demographic of the people I play with pretty well. Most of them tend to be either single or stay at home fathers, most are over 35. There are 2 married couples in my guild though, and I am friends with another married couple that plays :3

:3 I mean, every community has its jerks, it just kinda comes with playing with a wide amount of people. But normally you ask or read the bios of veteran players and you figure out who are those to avoid. And since people from all over the world play, you can find different crowds of people depending on what time of day you get on. In fact most the people i play with tend to be west coasters.

DDO, depends on who you ask razz It /does/ pander a small bit to people who are perfectly willing to fork over cash for the perks of the game. However, the way I see it, I spend like....maybe $30 in one shot, buying store points then won't spend any more for a couple months, unless i am getting a limited edition item or something. A long time ago I spent the money, bought all the adventure packs, bought the races and classes as they came on sale. And after that....I don't pay if it is not required of me. And that suits me just fine :3 that is what kept me away from WoW. It bugged me that I was paying X amount every month, no matter if I played 30 days or 15. The community looks after each other pretty well :3 Most people will report people being vulgar in public, or just in general badly abusing others. I know some friends of mine got a guy banned for 3 months after he cussed out his wife so bad no one wanted to repeat anything he said. That guy was out of our guild after that razz he was already teetering on the edge of being out, that was the last straw.

*cracks up laughing at that last one* XD Well, can you say awkward? The dragon shaman was really the most fun I ever had with a PC in a tabletop game ever. Then I DMed for a little bit. I can be a rather cruel DM razz but I won't put you in a hopeless situation. I always leave some way out. The only major rule I play by, if you act stupid, consequences shall befall you. I had a guy create a not so intelligent barbarian once. He decided to go frenzy cleave a stone pillar. Well, he didn't have any weapons after that one. Most of my DnD fix now is gotten on DDO, dungeons and dragons online.

Very cool biggrin
The best table top character I ever created was a dragon shaman. I loved her to death. She went toe to toe with a beholder and almost won but took to much damage from a finger of death (even though she made her save) and got knocked unconscious and thus auto failed her next save. I think she lived through a total of like....6 finger of death attacks.

razz I have never had dogs, walked my neighbors enough times though. I would probably get a pug if I was going to get a small breed. I mostly miss the horses, cause my mom and sister used to ride
