For helping someone. It's kinda depressing when a good action gets results like that. 3-4 days for the best friend not bad I'd say >.< as for the other I know it sounds harsh but in a way it's a good thing you don't care and aren't letting it get to you and worsen your mood like it might others.

o.o beat up!? wth? why?? or is that a bit too personal but still I'm sorry that's happening to the both of you. Friends come and go but your best friend chances are will change his mind/whatever the problem is I'm sure the right person will come to the realization that a friendship isn't worth ending over whatever the current problem is. Be it trust, be it about a disagreement, or whatever else there could be, keeping in mind the good things/memories in the past. Can't say I've known you to be mean but I've thought that about others and been proven wrong. Moody? I've only seen your mood drop a few times but I still couldn't make that observation just by those.
He knows you're having a horrible time? o.o so maybe in his own way the cruel behavior is a attempt at pushing you through this all and hoping things get better? Idk how to really explain why I think that but:

Say there's a problem with one person.
They're being an a** to you mean, cruel, hateful to no stop. They just need their space type of scenario.

The person being mean to you yesterday could be trying to distract you from this person allowing you to forget them for the time being leaving them alone allowing you to cool off.

While you're upset with the person's cruelty from yesterday, you'll have an easier time forgiving them and in the process the whole making up thing could cheer you up. Then the first mentioned cruel person had their time to think and hopefully all is well for each. 3nodding

It's just a thought I know it seems odd, maybe a bit out there, or even dumb. Idk the whole story but I wish you luck and that this all ends well and such.
