About
Since my dear friend Hope has decided to out our world, I guess it's time I update my profile as well.
[Name]: Darla
[Race]: Depends. What day is it? (Shapeshifter)
[Age]: Old enough to kick your butt, young enough to still want to.
[Occupation]: Currently a member of the Crows, Nighttown's airborn guardians.
[Loyalties]: My loyalties tend to lie with whoever offers the most fun. Today, that would be the Crows. Tomorrow, who knows? I do, however, refuse to directly oppose those to whom I was recently loyal.
[Location]: Nighttown, Crows' Nest
[Appearance]: When on duty, I'm a crow (imagine that...); off duty, I usually look mostly human. Black wings, short silver hair, grey eyes, kinda short - only about 5'2". I usually wear dark grays and black, although sometimes I like to add random splashes of color - usually green or red.
[Family]: One brother, Sam.
[History]: Before Hope left Nighttown, we were pretty close; our parents weren't quite sure what to think of a shapeshifter and an Endling being friends, but we didn't care. When she got taken, I became obsessed with figuring out who/what took her. So, for eight years, I jumped from one military group to another, training in many different fighting styles, so that when I found out who took her, I could kill the b*****d. My brother tried to join my little "quest," but wasn't quite up to fighting as much as was necessary. One thing led to another, and he lost his ability to shift (the details are his to tell, not mine). Now that Hope is back, I keep fighting, simply because it's what I'm good at, and it's fun!
[Skills]: Flying, stalking, skulking, most weapons, various martial arts techniques, vast knowledge of poisons
[Weakness]: Easily distracted by shiny objects (might've spent too long among the Crows...)
[Likes]: knitting, gardening (poisons gotta come from somewhere!), sparring, steak, pestering Hope while she studies....
[Dislikes]: Dishonest bastards (aka most nobles), arrows, sweet foods, vagueness

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. - Terry Pratchett
Anything that happens, happens. Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen. Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again. It doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though. - Douglas Adams
