My story

Well, you`re probably curious about the word first of all `vampirate` Simple enough wordmash really, half vampire and half pirate, just like myself
Now, secondly you`re probably wondering how much of the story the movies got right. Answer to that is: `just enough`
They left out the vampire bits, aye, I was a vampire long before even my first dealings with Davey Jones.

I can hear the declarations now: "But Jack, we`ve seen you nancing about in broad daylight!"
Of course you have!
Not about to let a little thing like vampirisim force me to do all my best pirating at night, admittedly, that`s when some of the best of it happens anyway, but I digress.

Back then magic still worked, and there were talismans for that sort of thing, and even though most of the magic doesn`t work anymore, my talisman still does.
Probably mostly because I believe it does, and when my options are believing in a bit of shine to keep me safe, or bursting into flames, I know what I`ll choose every time.

Now, if you want to know the story of how I made the switch, you`ll have to look at my journal, too long a story to be told here.

You've been giving me the cold shoulder. *shakes head* Don't worry, I don't hold it against you, although I did give you a daughter, and really, you should be thanking me for that.

*tuts* I wouldn't think a man of your charm would hold grudges. Come visit me, hm?

Don't worry, I'll think've somethin' for your descendant. Poor fellow doesn't know how truly bad y'are at gift givin'.

That's a cop-out and you know it. Go for the gusto, pull out all the stops. Having Bill do all the shopping makes it seem so impersonal.

Not that I wouldn't mind having someone like that do that sort of thing for me, but really, it just gives it that extra touch.

Why, if it isn't my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather!

Just giving you crap. How are you this holiday season? I certainly hope you haven't come across any problems in shopping for your family. Oh yes, I'm expecting gifts. I'm almost surprised you didn't think of it yet. Unless you did, then splendid.
