My name is Jacqueline. If you are so lazy that you can't be bothered to type out Jacqueline, you can call me Jackie. Or, for the even more computerly challenged, Jax. Or, for the people who are weird like me, Shrimp Toast. Now that we're don't with that strange, unsettling factor that telling you my name took four sentences, we can continue. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. To clear things up here, I am canadian.

Canada is not an endless winter wonderland. Or a winter... anything else, really. We have summer, too. I do not have a pet moose. Or beaver, nor do I wear a beaver fur hat, or have ever worn a beaver fur hat. I do not live in an igloo. You know who else doesn't? The vast majority of people that inhabit my country, or really just the whole world. We do not say "eh" every other word, or at the end of every sentence. We do not say "oot and aboot", as has become a common stereotypical assumption deducted from our accents. We say "out and about" like everybody else. The last letter of the alphabet is pronounced "zed", and the United States are not special just because they're the only people who say "zee". They're just wrong. Very few of us are lumberjacks. We have a democracy, even though we're technically called a constitutional monarchy because we're still loyal to the Queen. We do not export ice. It is spelled colour, not color. Yes, it is. Shut up. We did not invent ice, and finally, I will not e-mail you a snowball.

A sidenote to that "eh" comment. It is completely untrue that canadians say it at the end of every freakin' sentence. It is, however, true that it is a distinctive word in our vocabulary. It is also a convenient (and much more polite) substitution for "huh".

On the subject of grammar, oh, I got myself started on this one. The word 'you' has three letters. So do 'why' and 'are'. 'People' has six. There are three different ways to spell 'there' (they're, their). They can not all be tossed around into any sentence you want. We all learned this in grade 1, so there should be no need for me to tell you again. There are also three ways to spell 'to' (too, two). Once again, they all have different meanings, and only one of them can be substituted with a '2'.

And contrary to popular belief, you can not make sentences shorter by only using the first letter of each word. Acronyms are meant to make it easier to remember something as you are learning it, not to make my life harder by trying to learn something in three letters that I already learned in three words.

Okay, let's take me away from my pet peeves and let me talk more about me specificly. I don't give out my age, because there's so many freakin' stalkers on the internet. I love to travel. I've been traveling since I was very young, and I've been to many different places. Hong-Kong, Singapore, Japan, Sri Lanka, Italy, Malasia, England, just to name a few. In the March of 2007, I will be going to Kenya, Africa. I am very excited, especially since this will be my birthday, which is on the 15th of March.

I love foreign foods almost as much as the countries themselves. I am particularly fond of Indian, Chinese and Italian.

As much as I enjoy the outside world, I am very addicted to gaia online. I love to roleplay, and participate in other gaian things, but mostly just roleplay. I am in search of someone who would be willing to make a literate roleplaying guild with me. If you're interested, drop me a comment or a PM.

I had no intention of boring you with a million paragraphs of meaningless writing. Ooh, I love writing. I have a writing shop. As you can see, I talk too much. Okay, I'll let you go now, and grasp at my sanity before it slips away.
