About
As my name suggests, I am an advanced-generation adult who is tagging along with some millennial nieces and nephews into Gaia (and enjoying it). Partly it's my love of anime. Maybe it's more my itch to teach. I wanted to be a teacher when I was in college, but I gave it up when I found out I would earn less than I got from my school-daze summer jobs.
Still, I have a knack for explaining things that otherwise seem confusing in school or in books. I am happy to volunteer some of my time answering questions, especially when I meet younger folk whose heads have been filled with government-approved knowledge in "public" schools (education collectives). Talk to me if you suspect there's more to history or news than you see in class, in text books, or on TV. I also enjoy making science easy and math useful.
When not pursuing hobbies and recreation, I busy myself by working. I started as a salaried programmer, then became a consultant. For while I tried launching my own dot-com enterprise (
Propagate Ltd), which is now parked in demo mode to show that I can design an interactive commercial website in PHP and Postgres.
BTW, If you know any "qualified" investors (i.e. millionaires) who would like to get in on the ground floor of a win-win solution to what is now digital piracy, have them send me a private message so we can talk offline or in a community like LinkedIn that is more appropriate for discussing business.
Since my attempt at becoming an Internet billionaire is on hold, I am going back to work for others. In between gigs I am active in the
Extended Discussion and
In the News. If you don't see any recent activity, then I'm probably earning money, but I'll still try to drop in for the Halloween Event each year.
