I've heard of that one, and it reminds me more of the Eye of the Beholder stuff than Wizardry.

Wizardry 8, DAMN that's an old old loose end I never got around to tying up. I should though, much as I loved Crusaders of the Dark Savant. Do you remember if there's a function to import old characters, just in case I still have my end-game party on an old 3.5 somewhere?

I had meant to actually play 8, and yes, the ability to port over my death squad from Dark Savant with a save on each of the three endings enticed me, but life got in the way. Definitely a gaming loose end, but I don't know if I can do it now without my Muramasa blade samurai, my laser sword swinging ninja, or my Maenid Lance AND pistol packing valkyrie

Got the Cosmic Forge AND played through every possible alliance for Crusaders of the Dark Savant. Draconian Fighter, Human Samurai, Human Ninja, Human Valkyrie, Rawulf Priest and Fairie Mage FTW.

damn what are the odds~ All three got the same game but different systems to play it~ sweatdrop oh well~ I'm working on making my high lvl char a high speed battle mage~ Running Moonlight greatsword, Artorias Shield, Gwyndolins wand and Pharis Bow~ Onl hard part is picking the right light armor to wear and upgrade so i can maintain a high movement and dodge speed~

There's a difference between hard but fair (which Atlus is known for because if you are forced to restart it was because you screwed up) and hard but unfair (balance issue, poor gameplay, poor controls, etc). The early D&D rule set was unforgiving and I agree with Spoony in that in the beginning the ruleset was just a character meat grinder. However, because of that I wouldn't consider it hard but fun like the SMT games.

Anyways, I'm just not interested in demons soul or dark soul. About the extent of challenging and micromanaging I want to go is any of Atlus' games. I just don't have the time or patience to slug through difficult games.

SMT: Nocturne and Persona 3 are examples of rather tough games. Persona 3 being one of the more tedious games I ever known where you need some sort of FAQ on hand in order to max out all social links. And the game can easily kick your a**, especially towards the end. I've known several people (Spoony is among them because I remember in a VLOG of his where he admitted to it) where they already put in 70+ hours in the game but then had to start over to the beginning because they ******** up.

I heard that Demons Soul and Dark Soul are good games but tough as nails XP I'm not really into playing tough as nails games (except maybe the SMT series).
Kind of interested in getting Xenoblade for the Wii though.... or just waiting until October for Assassin's Creed 3 to come out.
