If it makes you feel better, there are plenty of people who have accepted death as a concept, in a purely healthy way. 'If it happens it happens, que sera que sera' ...
What will be, will be. My own mother's philosophy, though she doesn't actively seek it or anything. In a weird way a lot of people give the attitude an unnecessarily bad rap, just because we are all supposed to want to live as long as we can for some inexplicable reason. rofl So if you publicly say that you're fine with dying, the first assumption is you/the person needs a therapist.

...Avoiding venting on that and coming back around. =o I'm sorry to hear that yoga is difficult for you. I'd suggest using a video, but, I'm not really a yoga person myself.

I tend to alternate between Lister and Rimmer, but I like Rimmer just a teeny bit more 3nodding

I can relate to that, sometimes we gotta let things go because of time.

Cool! What kind of painting do you do? And what do you plant? Last month I was very fascinated with succulents, hydroponics and was watching youtube videos on those.

Ooooh yay! Fellow actor friend! emotion_brofist

Wow you sure started young! On your own accord? Besides that one time as an extra, what other roles and plays have you acted in? Yes! Networking is very important, I must agree with you; while acting is an extremely lonely art, we do need connections to further that aspiration. And no worries about rambling, I love to hear your (and others') thoughts! Why did you stop community theatre? I'd totally support you to go for it, when you want to and have some time to spare, but of course, priorities matter. Leave no rooms for regrets though.

Well I have acted in both theatre and short films - theatre I started in secondary school/middle school and it has a special place in my heart because it made me into a more confident person truthful to myself and the memories and camaraderie I had were precious. Even till today some of us alumni still hang out together outside with our teacher-in-charge. Then in Junior College/High School I became exposed to being in front of camera acting, broadcasting and interviewing people, and I still continue doing that in university now although I'm majoring in film which makes me behind the camera (I help out to act in my schoolmates' projects and films and sometimes they'd joke about how I have opted for the wrong major). Actually, I've applied for acting school but I skipped the audition and accepted the local university (which is prestigious and a pragmatic thing to do so). One of my regrets in thus far though. I also acted (theatre) for school and hall (like a hostel) last year, being exposed to Realist and Brechtian theatre more. Most recently, I went back to acting after having casted talents commercially for a company I was working at and getting nostalgic (like why am I casting people when I should be casted myself kind of thoughts). I took up a Strasberg's Method of Acting course outside (the voucher was a prize from a 48hour film competition that my team and I did) and have met many wonderful actors whom I'm greatly impressed with. Still working on my acting technicalities and I'll see where this will take me.

To answer your question, I've played schizophrenic, insecure, bitchy and dark comedy characters mostly (of course they're multifaceted too) and I have no idea why I just happened to get acquainted with those roles. I've also played an elderly and a schoolboy (different gender) which was an extremely tough thing to do because I lack the experience and the affective memory to do so. But those were just for school, not commercially. Some of my strengths gathered from feedback are spontaneity ("natural" they put it), strong emotional commitment and specificity to a character that I play, and being able to convey a variety of internal and external motivations at the same time. My biggest weakness as of now is voice quality (whether I'm projecting from the diaphragm or not, as well as intonation and enunciation) and spacial awareness. This is because I tend to go back and forth between film and theatre and sometimes I mix the technicalities up subconsciously. How about you? Would love to know about your experiences and what you deem to be your strengths too.

Sorry it turned out so long! I apologise hahaha

Hey hey! Well, I'm still considering between editorial writing/screenwriting and acting. So I don't have a definite goal. But I must say if there were an opportunity like that I would take it up.
