How you doin'? I've been lolling around at home in between excursions to the continent fangirling over Frozen/Rise of the Guardians/How To Train Your Dragon. Actually I was just about to show you a silly LoZ fanart: http://fav.me/d7q6m7x I was doing a 3-way art trade with a couple of IRL friends and both of them did watercoloured inked masterpieces so I felt obliged to colour in my crappy sketch xD One of my favourite scenes in that game! The graphics of this Hyrule Warriors thingy looks nice. Even if Link looks more like a girl than ever before, if that's even possible ¬.¬
I still check Gaia frequently but these couple of months I've kind of made Tumblr my internet residence. Which is REALLY BAD because it's a time sink and I've been trying to avoid it for years but I suppose it's too late for me now. At least the place inspires me to draw.

LOL Ty you are just something else xD Your effort is commendable!
My list of films that look crap but are actually amazing: Frozen, Rise of the Guardians, Wreck-It Ralph. I'll watch Lego Movie when it comes out, hopefully it will go on the list if it lives up to the reviews, even though I hate almost all of the Lego franchise these days. Maybe you'd really like Rise of the Guardians, it's fantasy and quite cute in a kiddy way but in the best possible way. Really well executed. Wreck-It Ralph's premise is amazingly imaginative, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me cry whee
Nothing much is going on with me, trying hard not to start slacking off with school, and also trying to decide where to spend the next 5 years of my life at... i.e. which uni shall I go to? Lol~

You're right, I adoooore Syrenne, she's so badass. I want to see 12 Years a Slave too, which is critically acclaimed. (And Sherlock's in it, eeheee)
Don't worry, I think it's really interesting learning about what exactly the deal is with USA and the education and health system is. We're all Eng-speaking countries and in some areas, culturally quite similar due to proliferation of American things via media, but there are a lot of quite fundamental differences which are sometimes quite unexpected.

It's so funny when watching Doctor Who when I close my eyes and suddenly the voice flips into Melia and it's weeeeeird, lol. I absolutely agree with you about your comment about Reyn. It's impressive that the writers can make a character like that so likeable. "You can't make a rainbow without Reyn!!!" Oh the bad pun possibilities are endless~ Your brother is going to have a hole in his soul forever, from the moment he finishes Xenoblade. You will too. It'll hurt, bad. Just warning ya... I got to the final boss in Last Story many months ago but I was getting nowhere near beating it so I've given it up for now. Maybe in summer when I have time I'll make another effort. I'll finish it one day.
Oh there's going to be another How to Train Your Dragon? I watched it on the plane once and I liked it; Toothless is just sooo cute. I really want to watch Frozen as I've heard it's amazing, just as good as Tangled (I adore Tangled), though I thought Frozen looked really crap from its posters/adverts.
(Oh that reminds me, I recently found out that "crap" is more offensive in N. America than it is in UK. So if I say "crap" a lot then that's why, it's considered a milder swear word round here, don't be taken aback, haha)
Omgooosh didn't know American uni fees were so high! UK's uni fees recently went from £3k to £9k due to government cuts, which everyone round here was angry about (including me) because it's discouraging people to continue with their education and leaves us all in deeper debt, but because of the student loans we can take out, it won't stop anyone who really wants to go to uni. But now I know about US's fees I'm feeling lucky. Dentistry students are apparently the most expensive kind of student to take on, because there's so much expensive equipment you need to train them. UK unis can charge a max of £9k/year to home students. Is there a cap on US uni fees?

Yeah, Xenoblade is craaazy expensive crying I hope you guys find it's worth it though. Dunban and Melia are aaaawesome, both in the story and in combat. Hahaha Juju, you're only going to hate him more and more. Do you play it with English dub? I looove the English dub - Dunban's voice is <3 and Reyn says all the best things "ally-oop!" "it's Reyn time!"
I actually haven't been playing video games recently. I finished 13374 in Pokemon White a month or two ago and since then I've been reading books instead, and watching TV. I find that I have a real weakness for Irish people o.O
Well I've secured interviews from all 4 of the unis I've applied to, 2 of which are over with, and I've got 2 more coming up. At any given dental school there are 10 applicants fighting for each place. Statistically, if you get interviewed at a dental school, you have roughly a 1 in 3 chance of getting an offer. So statistically I've done very well to get interviews at all 4 unis, but I am nooooot gooooood at interviews. But I'm going to grit my teeth and get through it and hope for the best! UK uni fees are £9k a year but there are student loans which cover the whole thing, as well as some of the living costs. My parents are kindly funding the rest, and I'm very thankful for that. I'll pay them back... one day xD

Yurick's outfit in his official art would be really really really awesome... if he was wearing a top. I think he is trying too hard to show that he is a boy by not wearing a top to show he has no boobs xD And of course his hair is terrible but what can you do.
I recently got a magenta clothes dye, so you can guess what colour everyone's wearing now in my game. (THE first thing I did when I started Last Story was put everyone in pastel pink. There is NO such thing as dignity when I'm in control of people's clothes colours.)

I did the haunted house and I totally lol'd when Lowell was being dragged through the mirror. And this chapter really did nothing to assert Yurick's already questionable masculinity xD Doing sidequests at the mo - the Count's summoned Zael to his office but I'm ignoring him. I hope Dagran's not gonna go evil on me, because he is so desperate to get us all knighted but Zael doesn't seem like he's going to agree to the Count's terms. What I wish would happen: Zael and Calista run away together and I never see them again and I get to stay in Lazulis and control the cool people for once and go on adventures and then hear Zael and Calista have died some horrible death and then there'll be a party in the tavern and we'll all get wasted with Syrenne. But that's not gonna happen, is it.
I think the last film I saw in the cinema was Hobbit. I'm not really much of a cinema-goer and will only watch stuff that I'm really really interested in! Nothing's caught my eye recently. I love Finding Nemo but I'm quite happy with my DVD at home xD Pandora's Tower is next on my wishlist. Might as well complete the trio!

I was really banking on you telling me that is was gonna be fine, it was gonna get better, and I genuinely believed that it would! Though of course I thank you for your honesty.
Someone on the internet called Yurick a sassmaster and I lol'd. He is such a girlface but his magic kicks a** and he says such pessimistic things and is so downright rude at times, it's hilarious. He would look so good in a pirate hat.
Ohnoez, so there are certain people's backstories that I might not get a chance to see??
Don't worry about mountains of text, just thanks very much for talking to me about Last Story because I have SO MANY FEELS I can't contain it. I'll continue to update on my progress through the game on LJ. That's what I use it for xD It's like exorcism. Oh btw have you ever played 999? Can't remember if we've spoken about it.

I'm about 5 or 6 hours into Last Story and remembered you played it. Please please please tell me the storyline gets better! Please tell me something'll happen that I couldn't see from 50 miles away!

Lots of people are raving about Hobbit but unless you're obsessed with anything that goes down in Middle Earth, I wouldn't say seeing it in the cinema is compulsory if you want to live a full and happy life. Like I said, fun romp.
I'm seeing family gatherings as more of a chore - I'd rather be quiet at home chilling out. But oh well.
Yeah - I'm still nurturing by internet baby, my fashion and arts blog xD Its superficial arty triviality balances out all the deadly serious science and maths and English I'm doing at school.
Why thank you! More likely I'll be ending the year sitting at my desk listening to the Hobbit soundtrack revising science but I'm almost welcoming it since it will set my mind at rest. But I'm not too worried - yet. Best of luck with the finals.

Broke up yesterday at noon and went to watch the Hobbit. It was a Fun Romp. I've a bunch of exams in Jan but I will be worrying about those after I make it through the trials of Family Gatherings which I am obliged to participate in!
While I've been active in the Fashion forums, I've not been to Avatar Talk for yonks so I haven't got anything I want either. But I hope you can accept my best wishes for Christmas and the new year!

Oh yeah, I thought the Impa farewell was ok too. I really want one of those weird pearlescent bracelets now. I always thought Ghirahim and Fi were two sides of a coin or something, but apart from the fact that they're both swords, they had no relationship at all and that was really boring! I quite liked Ghirahim. His dancing near the end was amazing. If only Fi were as cool.

I know the kind of subjects you're talking about - I think UK used to have some thing called General Studies or something? Which is just as useless as it sounds, and is the government indulging itself. Sorry you have to go through such time- and money-wasting sad
Summer is agreeably tepid, but just not that sunny xD I start school in just over a week, which is when my life will end, probably. Hooray!

I did enjoy the very very last scene where Link and Zelda basically Adam and Eve the whole of Hyrule. I did find the ending generally unmoving though, for some reason. I always hated Fi because she's got no personality, and I thought there was so much potential in a possible enemy relationship between Fi and Ghirahim, because it's evident that there's some kind of relationship between them because they're both in harlequin (the diamond pattern). I seem to remember enjoying Twilight Princess's ending a lot more. The actual gameplay and everything of SS I really loved though. I pretty much did full completion - all heart pieces, fancy invincible shield, biggest money bag and all that.

My sis has got into a JRPG called Xenoblade Chronicles. She first noticed it because all the dubbing's by British people, and apparently it's the weirdest (and coolest) thing seeing JRPG characters talking in British accents! So I'm going to get started on that next. I'm also on the final dungeon of Spirit Tracks.
