twisted Metal is my music of choice, nearly any kind of Metal, except the one chord whammy bar types of metal. And don't ever believe it when someone tells you that metal is merely a white noise assault on your ear, because it's not. How many people who have that opinion of Metal have actually sat down and listened to the musical value and rythm of the Musical genre? Probably not many, Metal; despite common and popular belief, is actually very sophisticated and complex, between the complicated patterns and speed of the drums and the number of chord progressions and Solo's that all fall under one key, it's amazing not many people like it. But then again the majority of people listen to that Hippidy Hoppidy Rap crap, which the only real musical value there is of it is a mere beat. True you can't have music without a Rythm or beat, but you also can't have music without notes, and musical keys for which to perform in. Metal not only takes talent on the guitar but it takes intelectual talent as well, one needs to be able to understand and be capable of putting together all these things that make a metal song. The Rythm, the chord progressions, the riffs, the timing of the rythm for both the drums, bass, rythm guitarist, and Lead guitarists, the solo's of course, and should there be any kind of vacals, the timing of that, and the meaning behind the words as well.
I play Guitar...A bit freelance at the moment, but I play in drop C (usually) and I have a number of different little riffs and progressions, and a solo here and there.
Oh, I'm also a math Major, and i should have my BA in about two years, maybe faster depending of course. I already took up to Diffi-Q in High school so....yeah. I also will minor in either Geology or double major in physics.
