About

Hi, I'm Jeremy. Seipher is a name I picked up quite a few years ago. I'm an off and on RPer, I like to do it in my free time when I find some. Like summers. But yeah. I'm a swimmer, writer, reader, friend, lover, fighter and all around good guy. I'm gay. So take that with a grain of salt. In other news, I changed my username to reflect a certain changed feeling of mine. The ability for the human heart to mend, for us to burn bright, to totally exhaust our supply of energy for the world and still, after time, rise from the ashes of our despair and be brilliant and hopeful and inspiring once more.

I touched the ground and whispered to the other boy, who looked back to me and said, "Why are you on the ground?" I looked up in a hurry and smiled genially. He couldn't be talking to me...Could he? He helped me up and sat me down to sit with him. His eyes were so amazing, he was beautiful, but not just his body...Everything. How he walked, talked, watched, listened, comforted me...He wiped the tears from my face and whispered that he'd love me forever. I whispered it back, with an 'I promise'. He looked me in the eyes, and I felt so weak, I felt so at his mercy. My heart was lying there in the open...and he took it, and held my hand to his heart and I could feel it...He pulled me closer and whispered softly, "It beats for you." He makes my world alright, he makes my nights warm and loving, and he makes me feel whole. And there's noone else in the world who can ever do that for me besides him.

"Good name in man and woman, dear my lord,
Is the immediate jewel of their souls:
Who steals my purse steals trash; 'tis something, nothing;
'Twas mine, 'tis his, and has been slave to thousands;
But he that filches from me my good name
Robs me of that which not enriches him
And makes me poor indeed." ~Othello, Act 3, Scene III

I am the earth to be stable,
I am the fire to be strong.

The Dash

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life's actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?
