Personality & Bio:Zell is energetic, loud, slightly impulsive, and overconfident in his own abilities; however, he is very loyal to his friends, and though he has a somewhat short temper, he has a thick sense of humor, and is very outgoing. Though he has a rough attitude and is seemingly inexperienced in his youth, Zell is a martial arts master and powerful warrior. His favorite food is Hotdogs, and he very much loves them, sadly he is usually late to the cafeteria and hardly ever gets any (though he and Selphie make them when at home). Zell spent his small childhood in an orphanage under the care of Edea and Cid Kramer, where he also lived with Squall, Selphie, Irvine, Quistis ,and Seifer. He was later adopted by the Dincht family and raised in Balamb. Zell joined the Balamb Garden Military Academy at the age of 13. His motivation for enrolling at Garden was to follow in his grandfather's footsteps as a proud and powerful soldier, and honor his family legacy.
After the defeat of Sorceress Ultimeacia, Balam Garden became somewhat inadvertently situated in Esthar, and later became known as Esthar Garden. It was during this time he and Selphie got married, and it was in Esthar they made a life and started a family. Zell was an S rank SeeD serving directly under Squall Leonhart Loire at the newly remolded Esther Garden (formerly Balamb Garden), but with Cid Kramer having newly established a Balamb Garden and serving as the active Headmaster… Zell decided to help out with the new Garden and transfer back to Balamb. He and his family are now starting over to assist the new members and instructors. Most of his friends have also enrolled at the new Balamb Garden…in many ways it feels a lot like returning home for him. In his short time there, he was promoted to an Instructors rank, becoming a Crew Member and later a Disciplinary Committee Member as well. He now oversees Missions assignments and deployment, as well as various other crew member and disciplinary tasks. The once rambunctious loud mouthed know it all teen, is now a high ranking and well respected rambunctious loud mouthed know it all adult… yup, despite whatever life may through at him over the years, he’s still the one and only Zell Dincht.
Some time later, across the seas to the north east, Trabia Garden… after years of remaining in shambles, finally recovered enough to begin rebuilding completely. Some of Balamb Gardens students and SeeD’s went to assist in the reconstruction possess, and help things along as Trabira finally began to return to its former glory. Zell was among those that took up the task of helping Balamb’s allied SeeD’s. Trabia now stands almost fully restored, and things are calming down to normal levels now. Zell and of course Selphie still check in from time to time, to help out or just visit old friends.
Nearly a year had passed by, and Zell’s life at Balamb had become normal, it
felt normal anyway, almost just like he remembered, but with more responsibilities. Growing up was a weird thing, especially when looking back on everything and what’s changed... he and Selphie were married with a son, Headmaster Cid had left Garden after it was finished, the world was more or less at peace, though they still had new enemies to worry about, but also had new friends, namely Esthar. And there was another thing, Laguna telling Squall the truth, that was a shocker to find out they were father and son. Then Seifer came graveling back to Balamb, and he and his posse were let back in, after everything he did against Garden, they let him come back… great. At first Zell didn’t trust him as far as he could throw him, even less in fact. But, things change, and like anything else, Seifer changed, and so had Zell, and Garden for that matter. They’d always be rivals, and hate each other’s guts… but somehow, now they were friends as well, somehow, through all the fist fights, and name calling, and discontent… they trusted each other.
So Trabia and Balamb Garden’s were back to normal, the way they were and should be… but one Garden still hadn’t finished, hadn’t recovered fully from what had happened in the past, and was more or less in disarray. Galbadia Garden, it had always been somewhat detached from the others in the past, but none the less, Garden was family, and it wasn’t about to get abandoned. It was decided that Seifer Almasy would take over as acting Headmaster, and lead Galbadia Garden for the foreseeable future. Upon hearing the news, Zell was surprised, but he felt happy for his old rival, and he really couldn’t think of someone better suited for the job. When the time came that Seifer invited Zell to help in Galbadia and serve on the Disciplinary Committee there as well, Zell couldn’t pass up the chance to help another Garden, and his friend. Balamb remained home and his primary Garden, but just as when Trabia needed help, he did all he could while traveling back and forth. He was beginning to feel spread a little thin, but he knew he wasn’t the only one, everyone was working hard. So he would remain loyal, and keep pushing forward and doing his best, for his friends and family, for Garden, and for what he believes in. He was thankful the one thing that never changed… was how he and his friends looked out for one another, no matter what, he’d have their backs, and they’d have his.
Between the new Balamb Garden, helping to rebuild Trabia Garden, assisting Seifer with Galbadia Garden, AND taking care of his family… Zell’s a very busy man of late, but ever strong of heart and ready to take on anything!
