Klaus was pissed off beyond words. The dagger in his heart burned like a b***h, but he endured the pain and took it out of his chest. He looked around, Kol had just left and Elijah was lying staked on the floor. That must have been Caroline's doing. He cracked a grin at her, proud. Klaus then went to Elijah's side and plunged the dagger deep into his brother's heart- again. He unstaked him and then stood back up straight. "Kol will be back soon enough to get his things, most likely. I'll be sure he gets daggered as soon as he returns." Klaus told Caroline and walked over to her. "I'm sorry for what he has done to you.." He added, frowning.

Klaus glared at his brother Elijah. The nerve he had. "Hmm, Elijah. Did you really think I'd care what you'd want? You're certainly not in any control over me." He said and shook his head. "I've got more than one of these hidden away from all of you. I could just as easily lock you up again!" Klaus shouted, growing even more angry. He got like that after the kill.... Making Kol pass out was just about the same thing. Klaus walked up to Elijah coolly and confidently and snatched the dagger from Elijah. "Take him and get out then." He demanded, squinting his eyes at Elijah. He figured this was a fair compromise. Dagger for brother...

Klaus shook his head and looked down briefly before he punched Kol in the face, sending him to the floor. "You mistake me with someone who has friends to side with." Klaus said, kicking his brother once in the gut. He turned to look at Caroline but she was gone. Klaus turned to look back at Kol, smirking. "Nice job brother. Sleep well..." He added, going to the stair case to rip off one of the wooden posts from it. He then went back to Kol and shoved it through his stomach. No point in doing it through the heart...The stomach would hurt well enough.

"Elena left minutes ago and was not crying, brother. Why don't you get your lying as out of the house I bought." Klaus said harshly, shoving Kol back with both of his hands in the shoulders. "I mean it. You've crossed the line. What else have you tried framing on our sister?!" He demanded. He was too pissed off now. "If you don't get out, you're dead. I've killed enough family members in my life. Don't force me to do it again." He said. In the back of his mind he wished he still kept a dagger on him at all times. The only one he had that was easily accessible was in his sock drawer- an idea he had gotten from Damon Salvatore.

Klaus was pleased to hear that Caroline believed him. It was the truth anyway. He wasn't very happy to see her crying though. Klaus took in Caroline for a hug, holding her gently as, he assumed, she thought about what had happened with her mother.

Only seconds later Kol walked into the picture, smirking a cocky smile that instantly read "guilty" to Klaus. His attitude about it all made it completely obvious... Along with the fact that Elena was the one who found Ms. Forbes and would never have gone to Kol to tell him such a thing. Klaus released Caroline from the hug and vamp sped himself directly into Kol, Lifting him up by only holding his brother's neck. Clearly they didn't share the "Salvatore brother bond". Klaus glared at his brother, "I'll rip your throat out Kol." He threatened, "Why did you kill the Sheriff, hmm?"

Klaus nodded his head toward Caroline and looked dead into her bright blue eyes with his own dark blue eyes. "I swear it Caroline. I did not kill your mother. I couldn't have, I didn't, I would never." He told her, his voice didn't falter and his eyes remained locked with hers. He hadn't even blinked. When he finished speaking he stopped and looked to Elena, raising an eyebrow, "Do you mind?" He asked, squinting his eyes at her. Elena shook her head and squeezed Caroline tightly before letting go. "Caroline, you can come over later if you need to talk.. Okay?" She said. With that Elena was out of the house, leaving the front door shut behind her.

"Wait...Wait... What was he doing at your house Care?" Elena asked and ended up shaking her head, "Forget it." She added, she needed to let them talk.

Klaus stared at Caroline and was now starting to fight back tears. But, it was no use... Now he could feel a few light tears sting his cheeks. "Caroline....Love... It was not me...." He said and sighed. "I can't say anything more to make you believe me..." He added, looking down at the floor. It stung, what she had said about him being alone. He would never want her to be alone. He didn't want her to know his pain....

Klaus' eyes were wide, he was in shock completely. He stared at Caroline's eyes, desperate to make her believe him. "What?! No! I did nothing to Sheriff Forbes! I would never!" Klaus shouted, turning to Elena. "I've been here this whole time." He told her seriously and turned back to Caroline. "Caroline. After I left your place after the fight with you and Stefan I was too mad to go anywhere but here. I swear it on my life. I swear it on your life!" He said, pleading now.

Elena stared at Klaus plainly as she wrapped her arms around Caroline, trying to comfort her friend... It was depressing... She rubbed Caroline's arms gently and shook her head. "I don't know if I believe you Klaus." She said seriously. If it wasn't him she'd feel pretty bad about her accusation.
