I wish it would snow here so I wouldn't have to go to school.

Still...that sucks...where do you live? You must be up near Kansas City or something if your getting that much snow

Wow, then you have talent all the way into your bones! No doubt at all, you're going to be a great one.
What kind of stuff do you paint? Still lives or portraits? Are there any other kinds?

That's cool. I suppose that you aspire to be like them one day? Meh, you'll be greater! More complex and emotional...wow, that came out of nowhere.

I can understand that. I've never read it personally but I can completely understand where your coming from.

As for me, it would have to be The Lonely by Paul Gallico. Oh my god, it is so freaking cheesy! I know that it was written back way when but still, it is just a horrible book. I kept on reading it because I thought that it would get better but it only got worse!!

Okay, enough of that. What is the best BEST best book you have ever read?

Kay, I will definitely look them up. My school library probably doesn't have any of them. They usually only stock the absolute classics or pieces of s**t literature that I can't believe got written.

Speaking of which, what is the worst book you ever read?

YAY! Libraries rule!! I'm working at one right now.

Are those authors you recommend or did you just have a seizure and those names just magically appear?

It was that book! Oh my god, you would not believe how long I have been looking for that book!!

Yes, I recommend him but that's only because I like him. Tastes differ so I'll just have to give you a little push in that direction and you'll have to see whether or not you want to read him. I started out with "Look Homeward, Angel" but he's written lots of other stuff.

Another author that I absolutely love is Flannery O'Connor. The Violent Bear it Away and Wise Blood are such AMAZING BOOKS!! If you have the time then you really need to check her out, she is amazing.

What authors do you recommend? And don't say Hemingway because I have tried and tried and tried and tried to read him...I can't do it. My brain does not function well enough to pull it off.

Guess I'll have to go check up on that then. My Uncle gave my Dad a book titled "The Alchemist" for his birthday a couple years back. I picked it up at his party and just couldn't put it down. I've been looking for that book EVERYWHERE so that I can read it again.

I enjoy all of Steinbeck's characters. I especially love "East of Eden" cast. They were just so...creative, I suppose would be the right word.

Though I enjoy Carson McCullers's characters a bit more. Thomas Wolfe is at an even tie with her.

Have you read any of his works?

Was the Alchemist book that you mentioned in your earlier post published in the last few years? Because if it was then I would have to say this....

THAT IS THE MOST AWESOMEST BOOK EVER...yes, I know awesomest isn't a word but...

If it isn't then sorry for scaring the s**t out you by exclaiming in such loud letters

I've read Mice and Men...it was so depressing...but, of course, it was in that time and enviroment so Mr. Steinbeck was just expressing what would have been true

I'm reading his "The Winter of our Discontent" right now, it's pretty good but I'm preparing myself for the inevitable jawbuster at the end...

...Marry me...

Oh my god, that is just AWESOME!! I knew that you probably weren't into this day and age literature but that is just awesome. It actually makes me feel better about humanity by just reading that list!

In case you have any curiosity, here are a few of mine:
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers
Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
Sometimes A Great Notion/One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey
Tortilla Flats by John Steinbeck

Authors would be John Steinbeck, Carson McCullers, Ken Kesey, Cormac McCarthy, Thomas Wolfe and Stephen King (I know, I know)
