That's the reason I came to Blood Gulch. I joined the army because I figured I could help my mom out, was on reserve for a while, then got shipped out before I could propose to Tex. Jeez, Tucker. Don't you ever listen to anything I say?
Actually... Tex was the reason... I was alive to come to Blood Gulch. She didn't kill me at Sidewinder. Remember?

Well, it was mostly so I could get out of my mom's hair. She'd spent her days taking care of me nonstop, and alone. Dad split when I was three. So, when I saw the opportunity to get a decent paycheck, and be able to send some back to her since I'd be in the service and all... I took it.

Yeah, I get whatcha mean. My grandmother, the man above rest her soul peacefully, used to make this really awesome lasagna. I kinda wish I'da learned to make that. -shrug-
