Koga thought for bit, when he heard Rin's voice.

"They did?
Hmmmmmmmm, maybe that was when I let them eat at the village, where I tracked down that traitor because he stole a shard from me.
I had no idea you were even living there....."

"How are you feeling now?", Sesshomaru asked, as he looked at Inuyasha, seeing his ears were still down.

Kazemaru quickly got up in time to catch Kagome because he saw her starting to wobble a bit.

"Let's get you in bed...", He said softly, before taking her shoes off and laying her under the covers of the futon that InuTaisho was resting in last night.

Ryuu-no-Taisho

Sesshomaru's fingers were slowly running through Inuyasha's hair to help soothe him.
He hadn't expected him to become afraid from what happened, but now felt bad for his son.
With what remained of his left arm, he faintly nudged InuTaisho to try and get him to stop glaring.

Koga dropped straight to the floor, when he was released and coughed for a while.
Dragging himself to his knees, he held his head in pain, unable to really focus on what Miroku was saying.

"I can't believe you did that to him!
The most Sesshomaru did was humiliate Koga and toss him about like a rag doll, but he didn't actually try and really hurt him!", Kagome exclaimed at InuTaisho in shock.

The miko's eyes were starting to fill with tears, as she spoke because she was truly afraid for Koga's safety.
There's also the fact she didn't think he'd really do that to him.
Her skin had paled and she was even starting to pant, when she was finished speaking.

Seeing the look on Inuyasha's face, Sesshomaru waved him over.
Careful, mindful of his own wounds, he pulled him to him with his only arm.

"Ooooo...", Jaken groaned low to himself in fear, before quickly toddling off after the hanyou and taking cover behind the monk.

A gasp left the wolf demon's mouth, when he felt the pressure in his head.
Quickly, Koga reached up to grip at InuTaisho's wrist.
He's body started to shake in response to it, as he struggled to get free.

However, Kagome had a much different response.
A gasp left her and she shot to her feet, before quickly wrapping her slender arms around InuTaisho's strong one.

"Let go of him!
This is hardly worth killing him over!!"

Koga wasn't about to take that lying down and he howled right back at Inuyasha,

"Who are you calling an idiot, you whining whelp?!
YOU'RE the one that almost got Kagome blown to bits by that freak Renkotsu!
Not too long before that happened, she was nearly poisoned to death by another member of the Band of Seven!!"

Sesshomaru winced and covered his right ear, unable to cover them both at the same time.

"Father, my ears....."

Spinning on his heel, he exclaimed, still feeling irritable because of Inuyasha,

"I'm Koga, the leader of the Eastern Wolf Tribe!
Who wants to know?!"

Sesshomaru embarrassment quickly faded, when Koga was brought up.
He lifted his face from the fur he was holding and looked to the doors.
Sure enough, the wolf demon flung open the doors of the shrine and his ice blue eyes snapped right to Kagome.

"Kagome, are okay?!
I came as quick as I could!"

"Here we go again....", Sesshomaru said quietly, knowing what was coming from his first encounter with Koga.

He watched him hurry to Kagome's side, kneel down, and take her hands in his own.

"I could smell a great deal of blood, so I had to see if you were okay.
Seems to me, it was a mistake thinking that incompetent mutt-face could protect you, much less the other dog breath....
Everything's alright though, now that I'm here.....
You must have been pretty scared.."

"Right...", Kagome said with an utterly uncomfortable smile on her face and nervous laugh.

You could just see the sweat drop sliding down the back of her head.

Ryuu-no-Taisho

"I'm so happy to see him smiling that I could just cry.
It's all thanks to Kagome.", Kazemaru said, with a big smile.

Sesshomaru found himself enjoying the hair ruffle, but then hen he told the story of something he did, when he was pup, he became flustered.
He quickly grabbed the right side of his split tail and used it to cover his face.
Though the action was quickly, you could tell had had he was blushing by how red his ears had become, which were sticking up against his hair.

"Awwwww!
That's just adorable!", Kagome squealed, laying a hand against her cheek and getting sparkly eyed.

Jaken couldn't even decide on what emotion to voice, currently.
However, before anything could be blurted out, he sniffed and quickly turned towards the doors of the shrine in a huff, having no idea his purpose in rushing to this place would be to see if she was safe because he smelled a great deal of blood.

"What does that blasted wolf demon want now?"

His outburst easily grabbed Inuyasha's attention, since he always went straight for Kagome, before anything else was said.

"She left to pay a visit to a cow, so your sister will have milk available.
The little one seemed to be hungry, when she left.", Kazemaru explained.

He then smiled at him.

"I must admit, I like your taste in friends....
Kagome's been solving issues left and right, while you were asleep.
That, and she slightly chewed him out like a mother from throwing boards at the two of you."

Sesshomaru awkwardly managed to lay against InuTaisho's chest.
After all, it wasn't exactly easy to figure out the best way to rest against him, since the side he was using was short an arm.
When he did manage to get comfortable, he was able to hear his heartbeat.

Sesshomaru slowly looked up at InuTaisho and unconsciously he began feeling grateful to Kagome.
She pinpointed exactly what was bothering him and actually came straight to his rescue in terms of remedying the situation.
When he looked up at InuTaisho, a tear actually fell down the left side of his face.
It wasn't in a location for anyone other than him to see it.

Kagome simply clasped her hands together because she had gone into one of her moments of being utterly thrilled.
She just smiled cutely, feeling very pleased that he apologized to Sesshomaru.
After all, from where she sat, it seemed to her that he greatly appreciated it.

"What he meat by 'yet' is the fact he's still ill....
He gets fevers, strong chest pains, and sometimes coughs blood as well..."

She looked to Sesshomaru, before adding,

"I think that it made him feel a bit depressed from easily Kazemaru lets you know he loves you and yet you haven't even so much as thanked him for tracking you down to free you.
I'm not sure if he realizes how he feels or not, but he seems envious to me....
When was the last time you did something to show you love him?"

"Let's see, you hurt my feelings and I wanted to prove a point...", Kazemaru answered, with a grin.

"Uh....", Sesshomaru uttered quietly, now snapping out of it.

He blinked in surprise at suddenly finding him checking his temperature like that.
Looking to the side, he answered truthfully,

"I don't have a fever, yet......"

Kazemaru had a bit of a sad look on his face and when Kagome saw it, before looking to Sesshomaru, it just seemed to click for her.
Her own expression saddened a bit and she asked, softly,

"InuTaisho?"

Kagome couldn't help but to giggle at his reaction to be showered with affection.
It was a pleasant sight and it made her feel good to see.
Still, she wished Inuyasha could see it as well because it would help take his mind off Sesshomaru's injuries.

"You're my baby and I say what goes.
Besides, I've got a lot of catching up to do in being affectionate and making you happy...", Kazemaru countered, as he hugged him, while nuzzling him and a heart popped off his head.

Jaken was so shocked that his jaw was on the floor and he utterly gawked at the two.
Even so, he wisely chose to stay quite, at least until Shippo and Rin began toying with him.
In this case, he began squawking in protest like no tomorrow.

Sesshomaru couldn't help but to watch closely.
However, he seemed to go off into his own little world and didn't take any notice of the way Miroku was watching him now.
All he could focus on was this sudden ache in his chest, that spung to life, when he watched Kazemaru show how much he loved InuTaisho.

"Oh, I know that all too well....
After all, I've been cheated on enough times in the past.
I may not have any kids of my own or anything, but I've got a little brother that's only eight and not too long after I started traveling with Inuyasha I pretty much adopted Shippo, so a fair amount of the time I have to 's-i-t' him, he happens to deserve it.
Some good examples is how many times he'd punch Shippo on the head and all the times he'd be trying to butcher Koga.

He hasn't had much of a chance to actually hit Shippo recently, since Sesshomaru's in the group now, so he hasn't seen him do it yet.
As for Koga, he's a wolf demon and a friend ours.
I don't want Inuyasha killing him or anything because just like us, he's hunting down Naraku, so it's rather counter productive in the end.", Kagome explained, as Kazemaru finished up with his bangs.

The kami then kissed the top of his son's head, lovingly and smiled warmly, when he saw him look at him.

"How about you have her take a look at your wounds now.
It's best they remain clean, so they heal well."

"I realize you're capable, but I don't wan you straining yourself, while you're injured.
Besides, I missed doing this...", He answered honestly.

When he was finished, he put his hair back up in its usual high ponytail.
Moving out from behind him, he then worked on his bangs.

"Huh?", Kagome uttered softly, when she felt her hands being held.

Looking to InuTaisho, she felt herself blushing all over again because of how sincere he was.
It was much different that the way Inuyasha treats her, much less Koga's one sided affection.

"Y-You're welcome.
I wanted to help actually.
It's nice seeing Inuyasha actually starting to get along with Sesshomaru and being as he's calmed down himself, I wanted to help you see him again.
I bet he really missed you....
Still, Sesshomaru was worried sick over how you'd react to the truth and I can hardly blame him for being afraid to tell you that little bit of information, but throwing boards at him and Inuyasha was going a bit overboard.......", Kagome said, giving him her opinion at the end.

Kazemaru slowly undid InuTaisho's hair tie and pulled an ornate comb from his haori.
Gently, he began working it trough InuTaisho's waterfall of silver hair to remove any and all tangles.
After all, it had been a long time, since he was able to this for his son and in all honesty, he rather missed it.

Kagome nodded slowly in agreement.

"That's never happened before, so it really caught me by surprise.
It actually hurt....", She explained, before looking back at her hands and softly rubbed at them.

"That sounds like a good plan..
I haven't been home for some time, between hunting him down, the war with the panther demon tribe fifty years ago, and tracking Naraku's whereabouts...", Sesshomaru admitted.

"Unfortunately, I have no idea.
He's done so well at keeping himself hidden that I've had to live in complete fear, even as I hunted Naraku down...."

Kagome felt mortified to hear something like that had happened to Sesshomaru of all people.
She couldn't help but want to comfort him.
However, when he mind switched focus onto those four demons, her own anger built and before she knew it, a loud snap of spiritual energy was heard.
The miko yelped because it startled her and she looked at her twitching fingers in surprise.

"How.....How did I do that?"

"He's right, son....
You may not have sounded all that happy to see me, even though there wasn't a day I hadn't though about you inside that statue outside.
I definitely wouldn't want you rushing off to die again.......", Kazemaru said softly, as he looked to InuTaisho.

"After you died, everything went straight to hell....
There were four demons that used to do everything you said and followed your advice with a smile because they were just biding their time.
They knew they were no match for you and thought it best to continue sucking up, until you were gone.
Once you were out of the way, then there was no one to stop them....

Every last servant, maid, and even soldier lived in complete fear of those four.
Only the healer showed no fear because she's not allowed to be killed or harm anyone because of her position.
She was able to do me a favor in her own way by refusing medical care to them.

At any rate, what they had planned was to force me to be a breeder for them, so they could take over the castle, being as I have no mate and I wasn't strong enough to kill them myself.
I'd always eat special herbs to prevent pregnancy, before trying to kill them because every time I failed, I'd be strapped down and forcefully taken, after being turned into a female.
I've long since lost track of how many times it's happened in the past two hundred years.

Still, I finally killed two of them.
However, the third was absorbed into the body of our enemy named Naraku, which is why that vermin is probably so bent on absorbing me as well for my demonic power.
The one is still alive and he's the one that butchered Tsukihana's family.........", Sesshomaru explained, not sparing any details.

Kazemaru nodded, as he sat beside him.

"I'm ashamed to admit it, but it was a demon from our own castle.
I wasn't familiar with him in particular though I'm sure you are.
I was able to tell because he was stupid enough to mumble his plan to himself out of excitement.

He terrorized the mother into running blindly here and the stress caused her to go into an early labor.
He just wait patiently for them all to come, before skinning the mother and burning her body alive to send a message to her mate because he apparently lost track of him and didn't want to go hunting him down.
While he was busy I left the statue long enough to hide Tsukihana in a hollow log and then I was forced to return to the statue, so I couldn't save her other siblings.
The rest of her siblings were skinned and burned alive as well, before he arrived and he did the same to her mate, leaving not long before your son, grandson, and the monk arrived.
That was clearly his way of saying he was close by and he intended to rattle him, so he'd never be able to pin down just when he'd come after him.
What I don't know if what he wants from your son and that's what worries me......."

Sesshomaru sighed softly, as he gazed at the ceiling.

"I may as well, but I'll need Rin's and Shippo's ears covered before I can even begin.
The only ones that even know this are Inuyasha and Miroku because I explained, before we found that massacre or killed the dark priestess...."

Sesshomaru simply smirked at the monk, though his eyes secretly told him,

'You've earned it, for all you've done...'

"It's called Morphine.
This is a strong pain relieving medicine that's taking by injection, so it goes straight into the bloodstream.
I use this sometimes on Inuyasha, when he gets severely injured.

The band-aid I added is just from minor injuries and I always put them over where I inserted a needle, just to keep dirt and anything else out of the puncture, until it heals.
It's sticky, as Rin said, because it's meant to stay on by itself, until it's time to remove it.
How's your own pain level?
If your wounds are bothering you, but not badly enough for the Morphine, I also have oral medication.
They're pills that you swallow with something to drink like tea or water, but not alcohol or any kind.
Mixing medicine and things like sake will make you much worse or even possibly kill you, so keep that in mind."

Kazemaru shot him a look for calling him an idiot, which instantly shut him up.
Meanwhile, Sesshomaru touched Inuyasha's forehead, feeling a bit startled himself.

"He's alright....
He hasn't slept long at all and new information being thrown at him was too much to handle so soon."

Looking to Miroku he then asked,

"Would you mind holding him, so he stays warm?
I can't effectively do so, being as my wounds hurt now....", He said, giving InuTaisho a sidelong stare.

Kneeling down, Kazemaru then then expressed his opinion.

"How many lovely women can you name honestly care for everyone around them and don't have power at the forefront of their minds?
She's powerful herself, but that's something that seems to be as far from her focus as possible.
All that seems to matter to her right now is not having any of us fighting and just get along.
Besides, it's clear to see she's worried about your wounds as well as his...."

Kagome honestly did seem uncomfortable from the arguing that had been taking place.
That, and was looking through her back for her medical kit.
Pulling it out, she grabbed a needle and bottle of clear liquid.

"This is going to sting a bit, but you'll feel better, when it kicks in...", She warned, gently, before drawing in the proper amount of strong pain medicine and slowly inserting the needle into his skin.

Sesshomaru gave a soft hiss of pain because it felt like a little bee sting and watched her medicate him.
Sue enough, he began feeling better, not too long after.

The miko even dabbed at the needle mark with some rubbing alcohol, added a band-aid to his arm, and started dabbing at his face with a cloth because she saw the skin beading with sweat.
