"No one's ever tried to talk us out of those moments of insanity before...", Hikaru admitted.

"I think it'll be a good place to start."

Kagome smiled at seeing Kaoru agree to it.
She was so excited that she hugged Inuyasha.

"We're making progress.
I'm so glad.", The miko said happily.

Just then the twins began to look cautious.

"What is that?"

"I feel it too, brother.....", Kaoru added.

"Huh?", Kagome asked softly.

She then went to the window slowly and began to take a look outside.
It wasn't long before she spotted a tall, strikingly beautiful demoness walking towards the castle.
However, what caught the miko's attention was her demonic markings and golden eyes.

"Um, InuTaisho?
Does Sesshomaru by any chance have a sister?", She asked, being as she could pass as his twin, though not identical.

Hearing this, Sesshomaru sharply sat up.
To say he was surprised was an understatement.
Who could blame him, really?
Kagome had just spotted his mother making her way to the castle.

"I wouldn't advise it....", Kaoru said, as he looked at Inuyasha.

"Don't you think it's backwards logic?
We've being chained and bound in all sorts of ways our whole lives.
Using something to control us, just seems like you're practically begging for trouble."

Kagome thought on their words and admitted to herself that they did make a good point.

"I'm honestly not even sure if there is anything that would even work.
What if we try it and we find out this is one of their triggers.
We'd be walking right over a proverbial cliff...."

Sesshomaru flicked his gaze onto InuTaisho, silently listening to the conversation.
He had to admit that he was rather curious to know himself.

"We kill anyone that's a threat to us, for starters.
Most times, we don't have a choice in the matter.", Hikaru began, before Kaoru took his turn in explaining.

"Sometimes, it's a trigger that sets us off.
When that happens, good luck coming out alive.
We never remember what happens, when it's over.
All we know is we did it because we're soaked in blood."

"If it isn't a trigger or we're being forced into butchering others because we're being blackmailed with out twin's life or sake of an experiment's results, then it ends up being the need for blood that they forced on us.
That's why I got my fangs into the wolf.
It's simply sheer luck that I didn't force your body to explode from the inside because ordinarily, when we're that bad off, we kill everyone around us for their blood.", Hikaru concluded.

They jumped softly, having not expected to have their heads rubbed.
However, they soon relaxed and listened carefully to what the monk said.

"We just hope that you remember those are your own words.
We're as far from normal as you can possible imagine.", Hikaru cautioned.

Karou then nodded in agreement and added,

"That is true.
After all, we want to make sure you won't decide to turn on us, if and when you see just how destructive we can get."

"Hmmmmm, maybe it was just an accident after all...
Ah, Inuyasha?
Try to be careful when you elbow him through.
You don't want to crack one of his ribs.", Kagome cautioned, after she dismissed what happened as perhaps her imagination.

Both twins looked at each other and unconsciously blushed, now that they realized they were mistaken in their assumption.
They then looked down a bit guiltily.
Currently, this was their own way of apologizing for surprising the monk, hoping he wouldn't be mad at them.

Sesshomaru was surprised himself, as was Kagome.
However the two were starting to snicker under their breath.

"You were just doing the same thing to Inuyasha...", Kaoru said, before his twin added in his own answer.

"Were we mistaken then in thinking it was a gesture of gratitude?
I thought you were thanking him for helping you hunt for the demons.
That's why we were 'thanking you' for going through the trouble of making sure we could heal."

Ryuu-no-Taisho

"Oh dear......", Kagome said to herself, rather red, even though she hadn't seen anything.

Her redness was actually due to her mind taking off with her.
It was to be expected, being as she's seen Inuyasha naked by sheer accident.
He and Miroku had stood too fast and flat out flopped back down into the water.
While the monk was blowing bubbled, with only the top half of his head showing, Inuyasha was flat on his back, baring it all.

"Silk.....
It even sounds just as wonderful to say, as it is to feel.", Hikaru said, with intrigue, testing out the word on his tongue.

However, both he and Karou had seen what Miroku had just done.
Despite what the two were put through, neither really knew why he was rubbing Inuyasha's a**.
They completely misinterpreted it and thought it was actually a form of greeting.
The two look at each other, blinked innocently, and then they both reached out.
In that instant, the twins simultaneously rubbed Miroku's a**, basically to thank him for giving them the earlier supply of blood.
It was also quite the 'Monkey See, Monkey Do' moment.

Ryuu-no-Taisho

"Well, there's one way to find out.", Kaoru said.

In that moment, both twin began to change right where they were.
They slipped into the under robe and haori first.
The two layers effectively covered them where it mattered, though Miroku was getting on hell of a show.

Hikaru's 'V line' was exposed on the left side and his entire left leg was on display, as he lifted it up to slide into his new hakamas.
At one point, Kaoru accidentally flipped the back of the silks up, in his attempt to catch his own hakamas because they slipped out of his grasp.
This gave the monk a brief flash of the youngest twin's sculpted a**, before he managed to secure his clothing, with some fumbling.

After a while, the two finally had their clothing situated.
This left their arms a bit tired, but they were now able to slip the over kimono on at last for added warmth.

"Oooohhhh, this feel so good.....", Hikaru purred out, loving his first experience with silk against his skin.

"What is this amazing material?
I just can't stop touching it.", Kaoru asked, as he rubbed his upper arms.

"It looks much better and warmer than this flimsy thing.", Hikaru replied.

Kaoru nodded in agreement, but then something came to him.
He tilted his head softly and flat out asked InuTaisho,

"How do we wear it?
We've never had anything more than what little we are currently wearing."

"Good point...."

Sesshomaru nodded, when he apologized.
Now that it was out of the way, he felt better.
Admittedly, he was rather impressed with how well Rin handled that little situation.

"They will do nicely.", Hikaru answered.

After all, Kaoru couldn't, at least not yet.
His younger twin was beyond ravenous and he sank his fangs into the first demons neck.
While he was busy feeding, Hikaru chose one out of the group and began draining it's blood as well.
Both of them caused the bodies to mummify and they crumbled into a pile of fine powder, when they were dropped.

When they finally finished feeding off the demons that were offered to them, the twins looked utterly remarkable.
Not only were they healthy again, their wounds healed, fevers dissipated, and they were wonderfully ripped.
Being as they only had tattered hakamas to wear, they were certainly a nosebleed worthy sight, especially when they licked the blood off each others mouths, which they did to clean one another up.

"Now, stop being so stubborn, Rin!", Jaken scolded.

"I honestly don't know what a flower is, but somehow I don't think it would be very fitting, since we both control the underworld.
I must admit that I like the idea of rhyming though....
Hmmmmmm, we don't know many names, but the only two we've heard that actually rhyme are Hikaru and Kaoru."

The younger twin nodded and then held up two fingers saying he'll choose the second name.

"Looks like I'll be having the first then."

The twins looked at each other with clearly surprised expressions.
Even though they were discussing names, neither had actually thought she would go to the trouble of naming them herself.
Upon hearing her question, they both looked to their apparent younger brother.

"They're nice names, Rin.
However, I can't make the finally call on something like this.
I do think it would be fitting if their names rhymed though, given that they're identical twins.
I had gotten the last part of my name, 'maru', from Kazemaru, while the 'Inu' in InuTaisho was used to make up Inuyasha's name.
That's something else to consider."

His attention then shifted to InuTaisho and he asked,

"What do you think?"

"Names?", He asked, sounding a bit lost.

He took the time to think on it, wondering if they were supposed to have names.
Given that he knew full well that neither of them had an official name, he shook his head.

"We do not have names because we were never assigned names in the prison.
The others had names, I'm sure, though we never knew them.
All we were called were monsters or 'Subject One' and 'Subject Two'.
After our powers continued to grow to were even the prison guards couldn't control us, the other prisoners gave us their own names.
They'd call us the 'Dark Lords' or 'Keepers of the Damned'."

Both Kazemaru and Sesshomaru seemed to have had the same response.
The two of them were shooting Inuyasha a stern look.
Neither of them were saying a word, but they were equally surprised, when Rin hit Inuyasha.

The oldest twin actually smirked.
In fact, he looked rather amused, as he stared at Inuyasha.

"You amuse me.....
I believe I'll add you to my 'Do Not Kill' list."

The younger of the two had yet to say a word.
However, this seemed to be because he simply was too weak to speak.
It was a reasonable assumption that it was due to not having the same intake of blood as his twin.
However, he gave Inuyasha a confused look because he said 'they' and he had yet to even speak a word.

"Often times I cannot trust what I see because it's either a deception, hallucination, or a fever induced mirage.
This wouldn't be the first time I've been led to believe I had a father.
The only difference being he was saying we could go home, if we cooperated.

Besides, I have little reason to trust anyone aside from my twin.
The only exceptions to that would be the little girls and the small kitsune.
They're simply too young to do any damage.", He explained.

"That first part doesn't exactly make sense, being as there's more than one method to give someone life......"

He then demonstrated what he meant first hand, by extending his hand out and misting shadows crept across the floor, before vanishing and show an adorable black bunny with bright blue eyes.
It then began hoping around Rin's feet.

"While this is incredible simple, I know of more complicated methods.
After all, it was a complex ritual that revived us.
If you follow the logic of someone using clay magic, that vermin would be our father.
However, this ritual had nothing to do with creating a false body."

The healer giggled and said to Inuyasha, reassuringly,

"It's alright.
The amount of blood taken from him has simply left his body in a bit of a shock.
He'll be alright, after he gets some rest."

With this said, she went to her desk and began making an herbal remedy for him.
Once it was finished, she helped Koga to drink it.
She set the empty cup aside and carefully tucked him in, as he slowly fell asleep.
Reason being, the medicine was meant to help restore his blood content, but the side effect was drowsiness.

"What's a 'father', much less a 'friend'?
At any rate, if you're going to pick random demons, make sure they're evil and bring more than one.
It'll take a few for us to look normal again...."

When the younger twin became aware of his surroundings, he quickly clung to his twin and shook.
It didn't take a genius to figure out he as terrified.
After all, he's in a new location and surrounded by strangers.
He shaking lessened, when the older of the two held him close.

"T-Thanks, m-mutt....", Koga stuttered, as he pulled the blanket tightly around himself.

After he was puled off, he opened his twins mouth and laid his lips over his.
It may have looked like a kiss, but the reality was he was passing the mouthful of blood he had to him.
This became clear, when the younger twin reflexively swallowed and began showing some improvement in his face, as a result.

When he pulled back, his twin began showing signs of regaining consciousness.
Though he was choosing to stay near his twin, he couldn't help but to closely observe InuTaisho.
The dog general's appearance had him curious, as well as suspicious.
When he spoke, his voice was raspy from his condition, as well as disuse.

"Who are you and why do you interfere with my attempt to heal us?"

Meanwhile, Koga groaned and held the side of his neck.
Though he was in pain, he shakily sat up and allowed the healer to treat the bite wound.
All the while, he trembled, not from fear, but because now he felt cold.

"He sounds despicable....
Naraku pulls all kinds of sick plans on us, but he does it for reason.
This guy seemed to have done it just for fun.", Kagome replied, with her own angry look.

"He had an agenda, but I do agree he did it for fun as well.", Sesshomaru added.

Silently, the oldest twin's eyes opened, as he regained consciousness.
He was weary of his surroundings, but he noticed the wolf from before and being as Koga's back was to him, he had no idea he was awake.
Tensing up, he swiftly grabbed the wolf and pinned him to the bed.

"What the hell!?", Koga yelped in surprise.

He struggled to get free, but the oldest twin had a surprising amount strength, despite his ill and wounded condition.
His eyes then widened, when he sank his fangs into his neck and he felt him begin actually drinking his blood.
It wasn't long before his struggles weakened and he began growing dizzy.

Ryuu-no-Taisho

The oldest twin gave a moan of pain, while the younger of the two weakly curled in on himself.
Though they were both out cold, it was clear both were suffering greatly.
Their skin glistened from the fevers ravaging their emaciated forms and their countless wounds were making it near impossible to get any form of rest.

Kagome's eyes widened, when she noticed the two in the room and quickly went about getting her medical supplies ready.
Meanwhile, the healer was giving the two a sponge bath, tactfully using the sheets for cover.
After all, they were in too delicate a condition to be moving all over the room at a moment's notice.

When she was finished, Kagome stepped in to begin working on their wounds.
A look from Sesshomaru was all it took for her to step aside and assist the miko, when requested.
For the most part, she stayed out of her way, being as she wasn't familiar with all the strange and intriguing items at her disposal.

Kagome worked both swiftly and cautiously.
Even so, she fell back on the assistance of the healer to set and treat broken bones that she had discovered in both of the twins.
She simply didn't have the strength to properly do it herself, being as her specialty was illness and flesh wounds.

It took her a while to remove a considerable amount of infection from their wounds.
One could say, it was a true testament to their strength, being as they having died from it.
None-the-less, it caused the two to bleed, so she had to quickly sew up the wounds one at a time, before adding the medicine and wrapping them up.

"I have to admit, they're lucky to be alive.
Just who are they and where did they come from.
They look much worse that any corpse I've seen lying on what was a battlefield...", Kagome admitted, remembering all the times she and her friends passed by the remains of a battle.
