Who I Am

Hey! This is Eric Levin!! how to describe myself? thats a hard/long question.....hmmm, i'll start with the basics. I'm 17 years old,male, anywhere from 5'8-5'10 in hieght(i haven't checked in a while), i have either extremely dirty blonde hair or extremely light brown hair. My eyes are hazel/multicolored. I don't have any tatoos or body piercings. I'm not fat, but i could stand to lose a good ten pounds or so. I think that covers all the physical descriptions.
Digging a little deeper, I was in my high school's chorus (i'm a freshman at UF now), and music is an extremely large part of who I am.If you say something, any type of phrase, a song will usually begin playing in my mind, like a giant ipod. I also like playing chess, I was actually the president of the chess club when I was a high school senior (which is why i chose my profile name "the Nerd King"). I'm really comfortable in social situations, because i've learned not to care what other people think of me and just be happy with who i am. I'm a nerd, and i feel better about myself when people call me that because it just means that I'm smarter than they are and more often than not they wish they had my intelligence/my grades.
I'm also a large fan of anime/manga (anime=japanese cartoons, manga=japanese comics) I love to go to anime conventions and cosplay(it means dressing up as your favorite characters from any of the animes/manags) but the problem is i almost never have the transportation to go.Ok, what else is there about me?? O, I'm jewish, and although i don't believe in it and i hate all the rules and regulations it has(613 laws, ugh) I will defend it to the death and beat up anyone who makes fun of it. Despite the many sterotypes, i actually do hate spending money, i try and avoid it at all costs. And i want to be an accountant when i grow up. .Also, i love chinese food. i really LOVE chinese food, i could eat it all day every day!
Ok, i know i've made this extrodinarily long so i'm gonna end it on one final note about myself. When it comes to friends, i'm pretty insecure. I never really had any friends growing up, i don't think i made my first real friends until around 13. But since i've come to Florida(where i now live) I've met some really amazing people, and although we might seem a little unconventional(thats putting it nicely) to the outsider, we really are close and i know that these people would do anything for me, and i would do anything for them.I love you guys, Miranda, Kelsey, Jaboa, Erica, Matt, Cierra, Lindsay,Yessiniah, Christina, Justin, and even james( I know i'm gonna hear about this later, so i'm gonna say this right now, You guys know what i mean by "love" so stop the gagging noises and gay jokes)

Major Sonic Freak Report | 09/07/2009 2:35 pm: Boring. Nothing special. The hotel lobby was not meant to handle massive amounts of people. The panel rooms were small including the dealer room. There were only about 8 dealers and with all the booths set up the room seemed even smaller. The game room phailed. They only had 1 Wii with Brawl, and they didn't even have all the characters (they are STILL missing Jiggles, but that's it.) They commandeered the Wii to unlock everyone in the subspace, and that took them most of Friday and part of Saturday. Saturday morning they weren't even THERE until....like, 2. And at 9 they locked up to let the systems "cool down" (Erica said they all just went for lunch) until 10 and 10:15 rolls around and they're STILL not back. There weren't any awesome events (like Who's Cosplay is it Animé) and Nerf wars fell apart around us.

Now, all this aside, the con didn't suck. There was still an improv show thingy which was like Who's Cosplay but with no prizes and I didn't even get to participate. (Mat did and knocked them dead) And the rave-like thing was O.K., I knew most of the songs, which is rare. Nerf war was fun while it lasted and I got 2 new keychains! (Ed riding on Al's shoulders and Mokona) And I got them for free! (Well, Miranda got me one as a belated B-day gift and I kinda bitched at Jonathan until he bought me one.) Mat also owes me $5 or a keychain because I helped with the "scavenger hunt" on Saturday. (We had to take pictures of certain cosplayers, items and ppls and I had the list of everything they needed.) And the prize for that was something from the dealer room for $15 or less (He got a $15 wall scroll with the straw hat pirate flag on it.) So I'm sorta glad I went and REALLY glad I didn't pay for it at all. (Free ticket, free ride and I managed to get about a pack's worth of free pocky handouts, drank all of Jonathan's ramuné because he was stupid enough to let me hold it, and got the keychains) So, it was pretty damn good for $0.00.
Major Sonic Freak Report | 08/28/2009 9:28 pm: Wow, really cool. I love how it's a moving, almost performance piece. And the way she uses the sand's texture and works with it, wow. I mean, some of the drawings themselves are really rough (but, ya know, it's sand, it won't be perfect) but even so, it works. You get the general jist of it and that's really what counts. Work with a message is also really awesome (annoying as hell when the message was wrong, but this isn't the case). Just goes to show ya, you've never seen it all.

Major Sonic Freak Report | 06/01/2009 4:55 pm: Well, Gaia is stupid, my B-day is tomorrow. But I don't know what I want!!! I mean, I'm sure you could find something at the con, and I never did play Drawn To Life, but that's not really on my must-have list. The only things on that are a digital camera and a Wii, which I know no one will get me (although my dad may get me the camera, which would be awesome! I could use it at FSC!!!) I also need to have a party but....gah! I'm so busy! FSC this weekend, tomorrow is my day off but no one else is off yet, Thursday is PV's first day off, but I have class, and then Friday I'm going to the con. Plus, I still have 2 more weeks after that, and in those weeks, I have finals to do, so it doesn't look like it'll be happening soon. So you got plenty of time to figure out what to get me, and I've got plenty of time to figure out what I want. Oh, but if all else fails, money's always good.
