Sometimes, yes. It depends on the origin of the accent. My former Spanish teacher for instance always pronounced the letter h; her accent originated from Spain because she learned Spanish during her studies in Madrid. However, she also pronounced the soft letter c like "th"; it made her seem she had a bit of a lisp. ie. She would pronounce gracias as grathias.

Likewise, Cubans have a tendency to pronounce the letter v as the letter b. ie. "Habana", not "Havana".

Anyways, the point is that, depending on in which accent you learned Spanish in, you either pronounce the letter h or you don't. I personally do, because I was taught Spanish by someone who spoke Spanish in the accent from Spain. Although I don't pronounce soft cs like "th"; I'll pass on the lisp, thanks. XD

I actually find Spanish a lot easier than French. No silent h's or a cote de rules. Every syllable in Spanish is pronounced completely and is smooth. The Quebecois accent is not pretty; especially when francophones decide to use slang. ><; Maybe that's why I lost interest in learning French. Even the Parisians can speak better French that us...

I like both English and History. They're my two majors in university. ;3

This year I'll be taking two history courses: Canadian History and Western Civilizations. There were two other history courses I wanted to take but my schedule is full enough as it is. *pouts* Oh well.

I'm also taking a Spanish course because I want to refresh my proficiency in the language as well as go into international teaching. There wasn't any intermediate Spanish courses though...just beginner. Hopefully I won't be bored out of my mind since everything will be so easy for me in that class. XD

Like I said, Wicked is on my reading list, along with all the other novels I need to read for university. x_x I need to read sixteen books for my one English course in two terms, and then get tested on those books in the two final exams. It's good that I like reading and I'm great at English because if I wasn't, I'd fail miserably. D;

I've heard Wicked is an awesome book. I've seen the musical but haven't read it. It's on my reading list. ;P

I've been trying to keep myself by reading, swimming, and other stuff. I'm planning on competing in an art contest for fun. My entry took me at least three hours to finish. -.- My fingers and back are still stiff from concentrating on my work. But I'm hoping that I'll have a good chance of being in the top ten; my art isn't good enough to win the contest. XD
