Oh, the Alchemy thing is completely messed up. Everything is extremely hard to achieve and some (most?) formulas are just stupid, like you use trash and fish and bachelor credits to create an alchemist case? Then you open the case (which is just another RIG) to maybe get some useful material at random. I know it's a fantasy world, but they could have done a better effort to make things have a bare minimum of credibility. Right now, Alchemy looks just a poorly designed item/gold sink to me.

Crafting is one of the things I like the best in RPGs, but Gaia still has to learn know how to do it decently. Sorry about the rant, but it really pissed me off when they ruined zOMG's craft system, by giving away completed items in the in-game daily chances, and I'm worried that something similar could happen to Alchemy too. Hopefully with time they'll find a better balance for the formulas and I'll feel more motivated to venture into Alchemy cat_3nodding

The worst thing about RIGs is the rarity of some of the items, making them insta-classics, even more expensive than some old MCs. And you never know when they will re-release a RIG, so it's pretty hard to choose good items to invest on these days cat_confused

I used to like the seasonal events of zOMG, it was fun to hunt recipes and materials to craft exclusive items. But Gaia's decision to put the game's development on hold kinda made me lose interest. Well, at least they still keep the servers running and apparently have been fixing bugs and whatnot, but I got quite uncertain about the future of the game. My old PC also makes it difficult to play on the higher level areas, which require a full crew.. lots of Flash animation on the screen and the game lags like hell cat_stare

Indeed! And with all the chance items these days we now have plenty of items to quest for! cat_whee
I went pretty far on zOMG on its golden days, but never finished the end boss. I also haven't played the new areas (past CL 10) mostly because they require a big crew. How about you?
