I've already got a college degree in Anthropology. My husband is in the Air Force and stationed at Hickam/Pearl Harbor until Nov 2014 for sure. People do suck. My grandparents, mom, dad, and bro celebrated my birthday on the actual day. Last ended up being ok though. My best friend, sis, her bf, and an old HS friend went out to eat then went home to watch a movie and drink wine. We didn't get a cake or anything since no one said they'd come so it wasn't that much of a loss, just not epic like it could have been if people were cool and loved me.

Not really. I live in Hawaii and I'm back in town in Pennsylvania for my birthday. I put up an event for Friday since a lot of people said they were busy on my actual birthday, 2 people said they'd celebrate with me and the rest couldn't even tell me no they are not coming. Next time I am considering coming back I'm going to recall how the cost of a round trip & money to do things isn't worth it when only a few people care about me.
