Sure! *settles in for story time*

And I used to do that with caterpillars until I learned that each caterpillar only eats 1 type of leaf. eek So sometimes, when I put a caterpillar on a tree, it was the wrong type for it to eat and I was actually doing more harm than good without realizing it. lol Now I put them off the trails or roads, but I let them pick their trees. I do a lot of animal rescue/rehabilitation. Mostly small things like wild birds, rodents, reptiles, etc. I think I may have mentioned that before. I'm becoming a broken record! My apologies if I have.

I took advantage of the chilly rainy night to go salamander hunting. And I was successful! 11 spotted salamanders are now safely off the night roads. 4laugh I took pics of them - I think they're soooo cute! When I upload the pics I'll show you what I found. blaugh

Did you manage to see the star show on the equinox? It was far too hazy out here unfortunately - but the moon was gorgeous as a result. smile

Happy Spring! And boy, does it feel like that here! We're having unseasonably warm weather here. It was over 70 degrees today when it should be about 45. smile We go back to our chilly March weather tomorrow I'm told. I did not know that about the pleiades tonight! Thanks for the info! heart A truly special equinox indeed.

Thats awesome. ^_^ We have powwows up here in the warmer months, but I've never seen a birds of prey show at them. Usually the animals are... well just skins for sale sadly. sad

Very cool! *wants your skin tone* lol My best friend's father is a Cherokee story teller at powwows. I love seeing him in full regalia. Have you ever been to powwows? I think there are a lot more out your way than up here.

No, my family hails from Canada though. My great grandfather was a native to a place called Manitoulin Island up in Quebec. He was the last surviving full blood member of the tribe until he passed in 2005 (he lived to 103! xd ) Apart from him, the rest of my ancestry is French Canadian and apparently British (I've been diving into my family tree off and on for the past few years). So do you know what native ties you have? A lot of people know they have native blood but can't pin it down to a specific tribe, that's why I ask. smile

I have Native American blood too - but a nice "elmer's glue" shade of skin thanks to my blood being native canadian. lol I was out surveying vernal pools for frogs and turtles and then I checked out a few snake dens. No shade, thanks to the leaves still sleeping within the trees, and 4 hours of sleeveless surveying. ^_^

I don't think there's any place else in the country I'd like to live. We've got mountains, the seacoast, lakes... all within reach. No poisonous snakes (which in my line of volunteering is a plus. lol) And kick butt foliage come autumn. ^_^ But, mind you, I've never left the east coast before. I've driven down to Florida and back and that's it. I've never left the Atlantic's influence. Virginia is lovely! One of the best states on the coast, in my opinion.

Enigma is great to drive to. lol I used to listen to them all the time when I went on walks through the forest in the evenings. I don't listen to music much when I go hiking, but sometimes its nice to add a "flavor" to your walk with a genre of music. Enigma's great for energy building and release. blaugh

Hello. Thanks for asking. I'm much better now but I was sick for over 2 weeks. WoW. I like your green outfit. I could see the Robin Hood hat and bow/arrow with that. This Journal cost me dearly and wiped out my gold. LOL!! Now I have to practically start from scratch for the next wish list item.

That's a cool cover! And I love Enigma too. blaugh Ooh... I've never heard Amethystium before. Sounds like Moonlore by Llewelyn or Gary Stadler's Fairy Nightsong (spelling is optional for both those albums! lol).
