I'm so glad it looks like real leather, because it's totally not! wink
I got the fabric at Walmart for $8.95 per yard. It was fairly easy to work with, a little tough to sew over in the thicker parts, but not too bad at all.

He looks so handsome!

I work at a plant that makes medical uniforms. We have probably 8 bolts of each color just sitting there gathering dust. We don't use it because it's very narrow, almost half the length of the rest of the fabrics.
I used 10 yards of each color. The skirts take up the most fabric. Probably 6 yards each.

Our faire is still a month away, Oct. 24th and 25th. I'm so happy to have gotten both our outfits finished a month in advance. Usually I'm rushing around at the last minute when I make us new outfits. But we used to live in a tiny apt. and I had to do all of the work in our living room/computer room, and there was hardly room to walk. So I procrastinated. Now we are in a house that is twice as big, I have the dining room to cut out the patterns and prepare them, then I walk down the hall to my sewing room, to sew it up! biggrin We are so blessed!!!! God is very good to us.

I'll post a picture of Michael's outfit, on my page, right now. If you want to see it, it will be there.

Thanks for the compliment on my ren faire outfit! I like the sleeves too, and the colors. I was lucky enough to get the fabric for free, from work. It was up on a high shelf gathering dust.

I was up late last night (1 am) because 2 of our friends were in a motorcycle accident & both bikes caught fire. Luckily, they didn't get burned. But they were thrown off their bikes. I'm still unclear of how it happened or what condition they are in. So many people tell different versions.
