uh... no ._______. i've honestly never seen the other people before =w= do they take your supposed "e-fame" into account? no. account worth? nope. tbh, i'm surprised that they accepted me because everyone else constantly posts in the Q&A, welcomes new gaians, etc etc. technically, they're more valuable than someone that just posts for fun

that's not why i applied =w= if i wanted to be more e-famous, i'd do the opposite of becoming a mod tbh. a lot of people don't like them

you realize that their reasons for banning someone are a lot deeper than that, right? it's not like you thoroughly research the person's background when they claim to have been banned unfairly, right? the mods should've offered an explanation for why they deleted your thread, and it was wrong of them not to explain why. the thing is... you have to realize that they're people too. they're not some faceless machine that sits there and just bans people. they're volunteering their own time without any compensation. Also, the user to moderator issue isn't the best thing. they honestly have a lot to deal with as is

anyway, my point is that it's not exactly fair to generalize like that, is it? because you've had let's say a few issues with mods automatically means that everyone and anyone associated with them is a bad person and bans people for random reasons?

the thing is... word of mouth carries more precedence than actual money. if gaia went around banning everyone, the word would spread and gaia wouldn't have many users left, would they? what's the point of joining a site if you're just going to get banned, right? yes banning one user doesn't make a big difference immediately, but it will in the long run

you do know that there's nothing like experiencing it first hand yourself, right? if you hear it from someone else, their biases are going to affect the story. also... think about it from a business standpoint. does it make sense to ban your users that you're making money off of? it's the same thing with any other online game where the users make up the bulk of the company's revenue. banning someone is a last resort and only happens after several warnings. it doesn't make sense to ban the people that are keeping your company afloat. but wait... i don't buy gaia cash. just having the ads on the site already generates revenue. the more users they have, the better it is for them.

it's not that easy =w= tbh, they take it pretty seriously. i'm probably not going to be able to convince you otherwise, but it's honestly not like that at all. i've read the TOS so many times that i've lost count :/ not to countless forum rules and guidelines. and just when i think that i've understood where i should move the thread, a mod will pm me and explain that another forum would be better because of x reasons. and it honestly all makes sense

._________. mods do the same thing that i was doing before i applied. you do realize that most of the time, the mods act according to what people are reporting... do you realize that? like... normal users. even if a user reports it, it's not like the mod passes supreme judgement on the person and bans them. that's not their goal :/

Yeah, if you go around posting n***s and s**t : I don't wanna see that. You do realize that the vast majority of my reports are misplaced thread reports. I don't go to rally and look for people that are trying to cyber. I don't report the thread is I personally find it offensive. If you send me a phishing pm, I report it. That's it. Is that wrong of me to do so?
