I was a part of a crew a terrible sea voyage that left me and a few other survivors shipwrecked in a strange land called "the Core". It was a strange and terrible land, populated by creatures that only belonged in myths and stories to frighten children, and despite my and my fellows' good intentions, it seemed that nothing we did could even c***k the armor of the Evil in that land. An evil that tried to claim mine and my companions' souls as well, corrupting each of us in turn - in my case, I became infected with Lycanthropy. Each of us had our own demons to face - some more literal than the rest - but our comraderie, willpower, and strength allowed us to keep fighting, to best our beasts, and eventually find our way back home. However in our return, and opening up a brief portal between the two, and the taint that the world left on us, we found it was not quite the same world we had left.
