*He shivers silently, staring off in the direction she went off in. The snow gradually lessens to a light flurry, revealing the girl to be long gone. With numb hands, he stashes the gun and ammunition within his coat pockets. A sharp ring pierces through the silence. It's his cell phone.*

A call. Who could it-

*The ID is that of Cheryl Mason. He hastily brings the phone to his ear*

Cheryl!? Where are you honey?

*He is answered only with the sound of static. Until the familiar voice of a frightened child reaches him from the other line*

"You have to run, Daddy! You can't fight them. RUN!"

-Wipes his glasses with the tail of his shirt, readjusts them on his face, then looks back up at the older version of his daughter-

I must have hit my head harder than I thought I did. There's just no way you could be MY Cheryl, she's only just turned seven years old! But the similarities are... Undeniable. You could practically be her older sister.
