A Solitary Echo
I am a convergence of every being I've ever come into contact with. A compilation of my family and friends, rivals and strangers. Every being I've ever encountered had a part in shaping me into what I've become, as they will continue to do until I breathe my final breath. Every action, every opinion, and every emotion others express, no matter how minor an effect it appears to have, will have an influence upon my growth (or decay, as the case may be). They stay in my memories, conscious or not, and at the same time, I will stay in theirs.
I am only myself and nothing more. A singular being capable of my own thoughts, opinions, and actions. I've chosen what to learn and take away from all these experiences with the people I've encountered. Everything I've ever done was by my own doing through choices I've made. Though I've done things perhaps I'm not proud of, I have no regrets. Though I might not know you, though I might not like you, I need you, for we are all interdependent creatures.
Just as you, I am a solitary echo.
I Bid You Welcome
Some of you are probably a bit confused by my little ramble above this one, well, no worries. In fact that's a rather common outcome I should think. Just ignore it if it makes little to no sense to you. If you were able to keep up with my free-verse almost-poem, then I should think I would enjoy hearing from you.
Anyway, moving on. I'm nineteen years old, born and raised in the United States. I've moved around numerous times, but my family's finally settled down at last. I have two older brothers, both of which I love dearly. One of them is off at college and the other still lives at home. We own three pets: a dog, a cat, and a lovebird.
Our dog, Sanji, is some sort of cross between a German Shepard and a Yellow Labrador. He's a large dog, the broad of his shoulders standing a little over two feet. He's very friendly, though he had a tendency to drool excessively. He also enjoys trying to tackle people to the ground...
The cat, named Shadow, is technically mine. She's pure black, and she's a little larger than the average house cat. She had mid-length fur, and is always a little on the skinny side. She's a rather fickle cat, and seems to have anxiety problems. She's a sweetheart to my parents and myself, but she's, as I just mentioned, fickle towards everyone else.
The lovebird, Himmer, is entirely my mother's, though sometimes I take care of her while she's away. As for the name, it was actually a suggestion by my grandmother. We didn't know whether the bird was male or female so we often referred to it as him/her. When said quickly it sounds like "Himmer". Now we think it's probably female because it's so territorial, but we're still uncertain. She's peach-faced with a yellow breast and dark, jade green feathers along her back. Her tail feathers are red-orange, black, and deep blue.
My interests vary, but I have a passion for arts of any kind. I enjoy drawing and I've been working (not very hard) on a couple of different manga ideas. One of which I'm working with a group of friends to put together. I also do quite a bit of writing, and I've got several different ideas for books floating around on my laptop. Fanfiction is quite prevalent on it as well. I've been thinking about creating a CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) for some fandom or another sometime soon... but it'll probably never come to pass ^_^0
As most people on Gaia, I also enjoy anime and manga. As for my favorites storyline wise: Pandora Hearts, Barajou no Kiss, Trinity Blood, D. Gray-Man, Saiyuki, and Death Note to name a few. There's no way you're going to get me to type them all.
I'm not a big fan most of television shows, but I have a soft spot for Supernatural. I believe I ended up watching the first five seasons within three weeks, cramming in as many episodes between sleep and work as I possibly could. [/Laughs] I was exhausted, but I fully enjoyed myself.

As far as my taste in music, I'll listen to anything once. I enjoy just about anything outside of rap, hip hop, or anything resembling those two genres. I suppose my favorite genres though would be rock (of any kind), classical, and Celtic. A few of my favorite bands and singers are Evanescence, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Epica, Krypteria, Shinedown, Billy Talent, Breaking Benjamin, The Rasmus, Vienna Teng, and Heather Dale. Again, those are just to name a few, I'm not going to type out my entire playlist.
Both of my brothers are gamers, so I grew up watching and playing them. My favorite console is the Super Nintendo (why yes, I am old-fashioned), and my favorite game is Final Fantasy VI (FFIII for the Super Nintendo). In my personal opinion, FFVI is the greatest game of all time, and I'm confident there will probably never be another game as good as FFVI. As for some of my other favorites, I grew up on The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in the United States) series as well. Some of my more recent favorites though are Devil May Cry, Fire Emblem, Fatal Frame and Okami.
Well, I suppose I'll end it here before I get too carried away (like I already have). If you actually took the time to read this, then I say thank you. You probably have a good bit of patience. ^_^0

Haha, and sometimes just putting fingers to keys and just typing comes out with some of our best written stuff; raw, emotional writing is always fun to read for me. A little thought provoking as well, so it's awesome. ;D Haha, and since you rewrote it, I'll have to reread it. :3
