Oh. XD
So the people were similar then? Interesting. I think it must be like that in every major city though. ^^
Did anything especially good happen?

That's true, but still, the definition is broken down to mean that "literature" is the written form. Whether it be novels, poetry, or whatever.
I have absolutely no clue what 'polite learning' is. XD

No, that's Classic literature. If you look up the definition of "literature" you will find several definitions, which all essentially mean the same thing.
Here are the definitions that came up when I searched it.
1. writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.
2. the entire body of writings of a specific language, period, people, etc.: the literature of England.
3. the writings dealing with a particular subject: the literature of ornithology.
4. the profession of a writer or author.
5. literary work or production.
6. any kind of printed material, as circulars, leaflets, or handbills: literature describing company products.
7. Archaic. polite learning; literary culture; appreciation of letters and books.

Well if it includes anything from myth then it's still fantasy, even if it is in modern times.
I guess it's a preferred taste. XD
Well, fantasy is still literature by default, as it is the written word. XD If you mean, do I consider it normal fiction or fantasy, I think it depends on the story.

Most of the time libraries and book stores scramble up book placement. I've only read maybe one series with gods in it and it was most definitely fantasy. A lot of Greek mythology went into it and there were many fantasy creatures in it.
Ha, well as to Laurell K. Hamilton's work, I know that the first four books or so have absolutely no sex in them. There are at least three or four that are simply chalk full of it though. Still, since they include fantasy creatures, it's still fantasy. Although I've always found it listed in the "horror" section of book stores. I guess that could work too since the entire thing is rather horror themed and there are certainly horrific situations spaced throughout the series.

Actually, "fiction" is the term for something that isn't real in literature. "Fantasy" is typically coined for anything involving mythological creatures or vaguely medieval (or old world) settings.
And I think... there's a movie involving vampires from outer space. XD

I think it depends on how the vampires are portrayed whether they are horror, fantasy, or even sci-fi. For instance, in the Hellsing series of manga there are man made vampires created using chips. That falls under the category of sci-fi/horror. In a series such as Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake:Vampire Hunter novels, vampires are portrayed in both a fashion of horror and fantasy. In the 30 Days of Night graphic novels vampires simply fall under the category of horror.
Tolkien only wrote fantasy as far as I know, as well. XD

The only Tolkien I've read is fantasy. XD
It depends on what sort of background there is for the horror if it can also be considered fantasy.

Oh, so you're into a lot of normal things then? By science stuff, I take it you don't mean sci-fi. XD

So you like a lot of classical literature, I take it. What other genres do you like?

I'm 19. XD
I think I'm eligible for that sort of work. The reason they do that is because most book stores actually sell adult magazines as well as erotic literature.
