(As someone who is constantly feeling exhausted, I feel that in my soul. I hope u feel better! I’ve been busy tryin to get my teeth sorted. Had massive tooth pain and the dentist didn’t feel comfortable in removing the problem without thinking he would cause MORE problems, so now I have a consultation with an oral surgeon)

Remy closed the bathroom door and set his clothes on the sink. He sighed some, running a hand through his hair and turning the shower on. He undressed as he let the water warm up, tossing his clothes in the hamper. He’d do laundry later. Once the water was warm enough, he stepped in and let himself relax under the warm stream. He let himself relax for a few minutes before continuing with his shower. Once he was done with his routine, he shut the water off and stepped out, grabbing a towel. He towel dried his hair and dried himself off, wrapping the towel around his waist. He smiled some as he heard Kat playing music in the kitchen…..he could tell she was happy. He wiped the steam off of the mirror and saw a flash of glowing red eyes in the reflection. He jumped and stumbled back, tripping and falling back into the shower. “Merde” he muttered, rubbing his head. Hopefully Kat hadn’t heard that over the music…..

Remy smiles some at Kat when she told him that she would be there if he wanted to talk. It felt nice to have someone who was willing to listen to him. She told him to go ahead and shower while she made dinner and he wasn’t going to argue. Kissing the top of her head once more, he made his way back to his bedroom to grab a change of clothes. Finding something comfortable to wear, he began to remove his tux to hang back up, before grabbing a towel and disappearing into the bathroom.

Remy kept himself occupied while Kat showered, doing just about everything to keep his mind off the headache pounding behind his eyes. When Kat finished, she came out and wrapped her arms around his waist, asking if shrimp Alfredo sounded good. He felt himself smile some, placing a kiss on the top of her head. “That soun’s fantastic,” he said, smiling at her. She then expressed her concerns about him, how his headaches were coming up more frequently as the wedding came closer and that he had been zoning out quite a bit. He hadn’t really been zoning out that much……had he?? “I don’ mean to worry ya, cheré. Is jus’ bad memories, that’s all,” he promised, giving her a small smile.

Remy looked over at Kat as he felt her hand on his shoulder, asking if he was okay. “I’ll live, cheré. Jus’ a headache” he promised. He looped his arm through hers and began the walk back to the pool house, smiling some as she suggested one of the teas for his headache. “Tea soun’s great,” he said, holding the door open for her. Once inside, he let Kat have the bathroom first so she could change, while he grabbed a change of clothes out of the dresser.

Remy smiled and hugged Kat tighter when she said they could leave after the flower toss AND that she would make dinner. “That soun’s great,” he said, kissing her cheek. He chuckled some as Jubes ran over and grabbed her arm, dragging her away to catch the bouquet. Everyone looked happy and, for the first time in a while, he actually felt relaxed around everyone.

It was short lived as images flickered to the front of his mind. He felt his smile fade as scenes flashed before him…..a different place, different people…..a different bride. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temple as the familiar pressure of a headache began to form. He made his way towards the back of the reception, catching himself on one of the trees as his headache continued to get worse.

Remy smiled some as Kat teased him about how good he looked in a tux. “I know how t’ clean up…..when I need to,” he said, smiling some as he pulled her close. The image of Jubes frantically trying to catch the bouquet made him laugh a little, but he couldn’t help but wonder if Kat wanted to try and catch it as well. The person who caught it was supposed to be the one to get married next, right? Did he feel he deserved that? Did he even want that? The last time he had almost gotten married, it hadn’t ended well. He could tell she was happy and having a good time, even as she told him that she couldn’t wait to get out of her dress and into one of his shirts. “Jus’ did laundry, so they all clean for ya,” he said.
