Salutations to you, Gaia user. My username happens to be Seolyte, my real name is undisclosed information so please don't ask me. I will try to use as little stanza's to make this synopsis of who I am, so here goes.Firstly, I would like to tell you some about some of the hobbies in which I participate each day. More often than not, I play my BC Rich 'Warlock' guitar after school. If you were to ask me what I can play, then just think of things within the intermediate skill level. I'll admit that I am not too familiar with sweep picking just yet, but I'm entirely confident that my tremolo picking is getting me by as a guitarist. On this note, I also play lead guitar in a band with my friends, but I will talk about that a little later. I am a pretty decent artist if I say so myself. If you ask me for some samples, then I could probably whip something up for you in an hour or two. Taking my art a little further, I can also do a little animating, but I'm very self-concious of my projects, so don't even try asking for some. Not all of my hobbies involve me sitting inside, I also enjoy kayaking. A kayak is a one person canoe which can be sealed at the cockpit so that the user can perform tricks and such in the waves. I have been doing it for just over two years, and I can hand-roll, stern-squirt and back-deck roll.
Next, I will tell you about the type of music I like to listen to. I am a bit of a headbanger. Give me some classic rock or heavy metal and I can last for days, fully sustained without food or water. But if you must know what music I enjoy above all else then I would tell you Symphonic metal or Melo-death metal. I am in love with symphonic metal as it is different to everything else I have heard, and it really speaks to me emotion-wise. Melo-death is a different story though. I adore growling vocals, I even try a little of it myself. And the guitar riffs and licks which are produced within the genre just blow me away. That is the kind of music that I could listen to for the rest of my life.
In case you didn't know, I am 14 and Welsh. I wouldn't say that I am a patriot to my country, it is just where I was born. Despite my young age, I can't stand text speak. Seriously, it is just plain lazy. What is school for if these people are just going to go online and start saying; 'wubu2?'. If you even try to speak to me in text speak, then I will ignore you. I suppose that I have just reached a point where other people's opinions of me really just don't matter. So when you go to extreme lengths just to please someone or just 'fit in', then I will be the person in the corner of the room laughing at you. Hahah.
And so, I have reached the final if not best stanza. My band. We formed in early 2010 as a quad, but due to some problems, one member quit leaving us to be a trio. Me, Jessica Farr and Sion Sanderson are Screaming Serenity, a melodic death metal band from an undisclosed area. We are currently looking for a drummer as we lack one. I play lead guitar, Sion plays bass and Jessica is our lead growler. Some people are very judgemental of our genre, and we have been called 'scary' on several occasions, but to be honest, we just don't care. Our band is about us all having good fun.
