About

My name is Steven, I am 19 years old and a (super) senior in high school. I live in Portland, Oregon which seems to be known as "The Weird Town" to some people who live outside Portland, which to nearly full extent, I can wholeheartedly agree.

I have a high interest in music. I've been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old, Bass since 11, Piano and upright bass since I was 12. I am heavily into Hard Rock and Metal as well as a lot of Classical and Jazz. I am currently listening to bands like Dream Theater, Rush, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Type O Negative (RIP Pete) and Children of Bodom. I also compose music. I've been writing stuff on guitar for about 8 or 9 years now, and I've also been writing out entire orchestra charts (which most have still yet to be finished. XD) now for about 3 years.

Other things that I like to do are playing video games, writing (occasionally) Watch shows and stuff on Netflix, Reading, or just chill on my computer and chatting on Facebook with some friends.

My all time favourite video game series would have to be of course, the Legend of Zelda series. I know people are like "typical. That's a game that every one likes, blah blah blah" but hey, I grew up with the series, It's totally different when it's been a major part of your life, Hell even the music that I write would sometimes have some influences from the sound track. I have been trying to get into other games though, I've been trying to play through Final Fantasy games (before the really shitty ones of course) but one series I have been playing recently would have to be the Mother series. I haven't even heard of the games since last year when my friend mentioned it to me. I knew of Lucas and Ness from Smash Brothers, but not the games them selves. I've played through Earthbound and Mother 3, Tried to play Mother 1, but it's too difficult... T^T Over all, fun series, with great music too. biggrin

I wrote my first actual story when I was like 14. I look back on it now, and I think it's just horrible. XD I have thought about re-writing it, but I just don't have the motivation for it. Besides, I've always had trouble with writing, which if you can't tell by now and the fact that I'm a 5th year student in High School, I HATE ENGLISH CLASSES. I occasionally try to write more, but I just end up not liking it and just scrap the whole idea. I also try writing lyrics and I have written some good stuff, but it's not something that comes easy to me.

I used to be heavily into Anime when I was younger (or at least I thought I was, and just watched it because most of my friends did.) but I kinda outgrew it when I got older. (Which might be why I don't even check into my Gaia anymore.) I still watch it occasionally though. I don't like watching series that seems to drag on for numerous episodes (i.e Naruto.) I like for an anime to be completely planned out with a beginning and an ending and I like the series to be relatively short. 100 or so episodes, is okay, 700+ episodes... Only exceptions are Case Closed, Inuyasha, Dragon Ball series, because again, I grew up with them.

I have favourite non Anime shows too, but not much since I rarely watch any TV anymore. I like the older episodes of Family Guy and I also enjoy watching the Simpsons. Just rarely though.

I'm not much of a fan of reading most of the times, but I enjoy reading anything that is Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, and maybe some romance as well. No, not that cheesy chick read s**t, or God Forbid, Twilight. I mean actual good romance stuff. Which is rare to come by. :/ My favourite books would have to be 1984, Brave New World, and His Dark Materials series. There are more on that list, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. XD I'm really tired right now... -.-

I am most active on Facebook, but I have other accounts on various social networking websites. I still have a Myspace account, although I don't really like Myspace anymore. I have a Yahoo email address, a Hotmail, and Skype. If you want any contact information for either of those, then message me personally, I will no longer be posting my profile links on here anymore to avoid spam and random friend requests. On another note, If I've never seen you before or even talked to you, don't bother adding me. Due to an incident a few years ago, I am being very selective of who I add to my friends list. Don't take it personally, it's just I don't want to have something like that happen again.
