June 2008, I vowed to leave the site for good... I left, had life and work and went travelling for a bit.
Some people from the Writer's Forum may remember my contest series that I held just before leaving... I will do another eventually, when I spend some cash on collectables to make a fund.May 2009, I couldn't resist the urge and have returned for another swing at the most addictive forum on the Internet. <3
Well how about a little information about me?
I'm currently 22 years old and live in the bottom left area of England (South-West) in a little county called Cornwall, outside a town called Truro; come find me if you dare.
During the week days I work as an administrator for a charity organisation that works to get people back into work, you know the whole "work experience, funding, curriculum vitae, guidance and whatever other support you need" system... Mostly volunteer placements to get people experience but a lot of people end up needing travel funding for that so it sort of comes as one thing.
On weekends and some evenings, I work as a computer technician for family and friends of. Mostly involved sorting little bugs but on the rare occasion I get to fix the mess a "PC Doctor" creates.
My hobbies?
Well I am an avid software programmer and spend a fair bit of my spare time coding silly bits for people... usually stuff that helps make a lazy person have one less thing to do. Just in case anyone wonders, I use Java, C, Delphi and C# (mostly Java & Delphi).
I guess you could say I'm a bit mad about Asian music and films, I don't really know what draws me to the music but I can't stop myself from collecting all sorts and as for films I just love the way Korean films are directed.
Although I play terribly, I have two guitars; an acoustic and a solid SG electric. I also (or used to as my niece has claimed it) have an old keyboard laying around which I play quite often.
Just to make it seem like I don't sit around the house all the time, though I do mostly... I also like to go out skating (inline/rollerblade) and walking around town with friends
I'm a bit of a shop-a-holic and have the impulse buyer's curse.
Anyway, I will leave it at that... hopefully people will get to know me a bit better than the random bits I placed here and with any luck my old friends on the site are still present and remember me.
