DAMN YOU TYRAMINE!!!!! Why chocolate and wine!? crying DAMN YOU SALAZAAR!!!!!! .....Though I still don't know if that's what's causing my issues, but still. stare

I've been having that dress up issue for weeks now, but figured it was on my end since my laptop is old and broken. Switching between pages and windows lags, which is another reason I thought it was on my end. Whenever I try something on, it either lags terribly before finally showing up or I get that "x" error and have to rape the enter button to get it to return to normal. Knowing I'm not the only one with at least one of these issues, I'll post in the bugs forum and see if others are having trouble too.

Being an old head from a game's inception is amazing, I think. Some look at it as not being able to grow up or having nothing else better to do with one's life, but just as you said, there are those who lead respectable lives with families. I'm sure there are "old folk" guilds or guilds run by older people in the games I've played, but seeing as none are labeled as such or even in their description, it's hard finding them. It's amazing how people, young and old, think that just because you're a certain age that you're to outgrow certain things. I'll never be too old for cartoons or games, and that's just who I am. Older people want to have fun too, and who said that having dinner parties and get togethers and after work drinks are the way for older people to have that fun? Why can't a night on the sofa in comfy pajamas and your favorite cartoons or game at your fingertips be that fun? There are way too many stereotypes for me.

"hard captcha is hard" Damn. Right.

Your comment got cut off! gonk I thought it was odd that it wasn't in its usual font color, but it cuts off around the Everquest part. But yea, basically live and let live is the best saying that could have ever been made. It applies to everything! In general, whatever your practices are, as long as you're not trying to impose them on me, I could care less. I'll have to look up tyramine and see what that is, because I'm not sure what exactly the problem is, but yellow cheese flares my sinuses up. I've never been a fan of american cheese because I don't like how it tastes.

I think the reason I don't do particularly well with online games is because I after I've gotten as far as I can get by myself, joining a guild is hard. If you join a guild when you first start, you have all these rules imposed on you that you may not be able to follow if you're not an avid player like the master wants you to be. Or the majority of the guilds have a min level and strength one has to be in order to join, etc. After meeting such requirements and joining said guild, you find out that it's basically a sink or swim type of guild that's only interested in whatever ritual/blessings/givings the guild receives when members are present and doing world boss runs. No help in further leveling up or refining what you do have. And the gm and a lot of its members are from other games so they're friends, and the gm is only interested in their friends. And blah blah blah rofl The only guild I ever did well with was here on Gaia. And that may very well be because I wasn't dealing with young people. I know not all young people are assholes and the like, but the ones I run across gaming wise are.

I kinda figured it would be those whose taste for meat, of any kind, was iffy or lacking, which I don't see the issue with since vegetarianism is nothing new nor cultist. There were times when one simply could not eat meat because of poverty, so making it a way of life shouldn't be so surprising. I'm finding a lot of foods, mainly processed, are causing all sorts of problems for the body. One example being cheese. Yellow cheese to be exact. I LOVE extra sharp cheese but in turn it makes my liver work extra hard to process it. White cheeses are recommended, and for the burger lover, you'd have to choose between the meat or the cheese. You can't have both because your body will process the cheese over the meat, meaning that meat will hang around for a VERY long time considering your vegetable/fruit intake. I'm trying to find a white cheese that I like. I used to like pepper jack, but somewhere along the line fell out of love with it. I found out that I like goat cheese, but it's not something I'd want on a daily basis. I've been seeing Babybel and Skinny Cow cheese advertised for a while, so I'm going to give them a try and see how I like that. Me and dairy already don't get along and I had to give up milk decades ago, but I'll be damned if I give up cheese!

You've been playing Everquest for a long time, haven't you?

"chocolate milk" crying Gaia's mocking me! gonk I loved chocolate milk in school! crying

Why I bet he does and I bet you do! wink

I have to admit that I don't know any other vegetarians besides your husband and yourself, but I never realized that they were so ostracized. I mean, I've seen how vegetarians are portrayed on t.v., but I just figured it was always gag related and not how "meat eaters" really feel about them. While members of my family can't be called vegetarians, a lot have incorporated vegetarian/vegan choices in their diet. My mom and aunt are among them. They both went into this knowing they'd never completely give up meat, but they do enjoy meatless meals as well. My aunt's son and his wife were vegan at one point, but that lasted two years before they started eating meat and other things that weren't of the vegan diet again. I know that either one is a lifestyle and not something you can just pick up and put down because it's the "in" thing, which is why I don't believe I'll ever be able to just completely convert.

There's so much that vegetarian/vegan diets can offer, but I'm like my mom. I don't need a lot of meat, but I like to know there's some on my plate. I love a burger, and an occasional steak, so when I feel like having one, I'm going to have one. Those who can commit to those lifestyles are amazing, especially ones who were former meat eaters, because I know when a craving hits it's hard to conquer it. Which leads me to wonder if all vegetarians/vegans ever really ate meat and it was just easy to convert due to their lack of interest in those things. I know that the two are different from each other, as vegan is plant based while vegetarian doesn't eat anything that had a life, so I'm just putting the two together because I'm basically talking about meat.

Hahahahaahaa, just thought about this while typing. Last time I saw your alter ego on Fiesta, you were left doing a dance. Are you still doing that dance or have you been back to play any? I've forgotten my user/pass so I no longer can get on. I rather enjoyed that game albeit I didn't really know what I was doing. My laptop can no longer handle those types of games so I haven't been able to play -anything- for that matter. Too bad most of those games don't have apps so I can play them on my tablet.

"rodents of unusual size" ......While I'm not sure if Smurfs are a type of "rodent", I wonder if Draa is around creeping? ninja

I agree with the embellishments and the "picks and chooses" of unhealthy practices, but I think truth is on to something with their use of youths to educate youths. Yes, you'll have your rebels no matter what generation, and underage -anything- will never completely die out, but reducing it greatly is better than it increasing or staying the same. I don't care what anyone does with their body once they're an adult, but I strongly am against underage practices. That's just me. I smoked for over ten years, and the worst I got for it was the weight gain after quitting and damage to my teeth, which if one went to a dentist and exercised semi-regularly or regularly, both can be fixed. What I don't like though when it comes to making people aware of the hazards of smoking is when t.v. shows, ads, etc are attacked for having a smoker(s), be it underage or of age, on screen and blaming them for underage practices of any sort. That comes down to the parents and what they're instilling in their children. No show/ad/movie/magazine can make -anyone- do -anything-. That's basically saying any child who smokes or drinks has no mind of their own and is doing "monkey see, monkey do" because they "saw it on tv". Parents that jump on that bandwagon, to me, are only looking to place the blame anywhere but where it needs to be due to not wanting to seem like a bad parent or an uncaring parent because they didn't educate their child(ren) about such practices.

And while the hazards of red meat, caffeine, junk food, alcohol, etc aren't being made hugely public like smoking and drunk driving are, anyone with internet will likely come across ads pertaining to those. That's largely more than before when I was in school. Even then, smoking was mentioned, but it was more focused on drugs, underage drinking and unprotected sex. Moreso underage drinking and drunk driving. With vegetarian and vegan practices becoming more and more regular and not just a "fad" or "trending", it won't be long before those mentioned before are made publicly known through commercials and not just on the internet. Or so I like to believe.

In anything that gets bad publicity, the government makes its money off it either way. Be it tobacco, alcohol, drugs - legal or illegal, food and drink, they get something out of it, whether they're supporting it or not or both.

"tower of strength" Is TES your tower of strength? whee

Old, dated information indeed. whee While I'm all for ending underage smoking, I still love seeing cigarette and cigars used by certain characters, be it legal or underage. Sometimes a certain character calls for a cigarette hanging from their lip or a cigar to emphasize their badassery. So I guess that makes me a hypocrite when it comes to smoking. "Only do it when it's cool-looking", or something to that effect. mad p Either way, I'll always be pro-smoking where you're concerned. Hell, you're over 800 years old. If you can't do what you want to do, what's the point in living so long!? .......Outside of murder, that is. Yea, murder is bad ninja
