Hi sweetheart!

I just wanted to stop by one more time to let you know that I've decided to leave Gaia for good. It's no secret that I don't like or appreciate the direction this site has taken with the Cash Shop and everything else, and the truth is.....I just don't enjoy this site at all anymore. But it was such a pleasure to meet you, and I've been proud to call you my friend.

Hi hun! Congrats on Senior Hood!! That's such a fun time and I hope you have an AMAZING year!!!

Weekends are fine for getting online because school is WAY more important!! There are MANY twenty-somethings on this site that are online 24/7 living in their parent's basements and buying pixels with Gaia Cash Cards that they got for their birthday. Don't be one of them!! LOLOL

And yes, you know me....I'm changing my avi all the time and I must confess to having WAY too many outfits and buying (non-cash) pixels all too often. But we have to have our pretties now, don't we? rofl

One of these days, we'll have to hook you up with something more than the peasant panties....not that there's anything wrong with them. LOL The angel wings are too cute, however!!

And NO WAY I'll forget about you, sweetie! It's been a busy summer here working with vacancies in our houses and still getting settled into the house we bought for ourselves. Can't believe summer is already over and that you're already back in school! How did THAT happen??? dramallama

OOooooooh! The halo looks SO cute! We've gotta get you some pretty matchy stuff! Even if you don't like shopping!! LOL

And yes! Elyssa! I know she's annoying, and I wish she would step up her game, but I like her! Not as much as I liked her sister Rachel, but I like her! Regardless, I'm rooting for Helen to take it all, and this is THE best season of Big Brother yet! I'm not sure about the BBMVP thing...not sure I like it, but it is what it is, and this week is a DOUBLE EVICTION!! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeal*

If you were here this afternoon after church, you could have had some delicious homemade ice cream! I love vanilla most....plain but oh so good and OH SO fattening! LOL If I make ice cream all summer, the pony would be riding ME...not the other way around!

As for the exotic pet...OMG! I would die with a snake in the house! A chinchilla....maybe. Or a ferret. Even a bunny. But a snake? *falls over dead* I'm more of a kitty kinda gal. That likes to shop! rofl

LOLOL! That's about as long as the country life remains appealing: For about a week! LOL Though, I must admit....being a city girl that married a country boy, it's not all that bad. Save for having not having anyplace to shop other than Walmart; no good restaurants; no clubs; no malls; nosey neighbors and having to keep an eye out for copperheads everywhere, it's all good. ninja No horses for us yet, but we've talked about it. We have some lovely rustic fence around the barn area with around 1.5 acres for them to run if we so chose, but we don't have anything like that yet. Just a little baby kitty that lives in the house with us. And a groundhog by the barn that hubby is going to shoot. No. I'm not making stew out of it. LOLOLOLOL

As for Spencer on Big Brother, I just don't like him! I'm rooting for Helen or Elyssa to WIN, and he doesn't fit that plan. Plus, the racist bimbo is a little entertaining to watch as she's being controlled. I rather like Judd too, surprisingly. And Candice, but she flies off the handle too much. McCrae gives me the shivers, and I'm not in love with Amanda. LOL...see? I"m hooked!!!!

And YES, we make homemade ice cream! I just made a batch the other day, and I'm going to make another on Sunday after church! If you were close, I'd bring you a pot roast (not groundhog) and ice cream. We could drink sweet tea under an umbrella and live the country live, hunny!! 4laugh

With the allergies, Claritin WORKS!!! I swear by it. But I must admit....I'm on board with your commercial theory. Especially those ATT kids that carry on about their theories on life and puppy brothers. Don't even get me started!! twisted

And hun, I am SO with you with Aaryn (the little racist biatch on Big Brother,) but she really turned her act around, and she's on borrowed time no matter what! I hope, hope, HOPE Spencer (the bearded redneck) is voted out next! And Gina Marie. That huzzie gets on my nerves! LOL But Julie Chen is so pretty and classy and FUN! I love her too!!

The BBQ was lots of fun, but now I have allergies something terrible from doing yardwork yesterday. I had to take a Claritin, and I hope it works. My eyes look like I'm a crackhead! LOL burning_eyes

And oh goodness! Ten hours! That's a road trip!! LOL I don't feel so bad now being in the midst of Nowhereland in the middle of Nowhere, USA. I swear sometimes we might as well just go ahead and get some damn goats and chickens. Might as well get a cow too so I can milk it in my Milk-Wench outfit and churn some damn butter in the back field! LOLOL... I kid, but not really. If my husband comes home with so much as a duck chick, I'm outta here! *heels click on pavement that we don't have* pirate

LOLOL! I've forgotten my fishies before too, but luckily they're very forgiving, and they don't die when we forget to feed them for a week or two. *dies*

And I think so too! Julie Chen hosts Big Brother, and I'm sooooo hooked this year! I've skipped seasons in the past, and I almost didn't watch this year because the housemates were so annoying, but they voted out most of the ones that annoyed me most, and I'm hooked on the show again! Mindless summer programming, but who cares? LOL

Oh my goodness....I'm so jealous that you have a beach so close by! It must be wonderful!! We live on two acres in the middle of Nowhere, Missouri. Yeah.....Nowhere. With a barn and a shed. LOL I would LOVE a beach nearby. We have a pond and a creek, but yeah....no comparison!

And don't be silly, hun! I already sent your birthday present. I tried sending it last night, but I got two "cache bust" errors...whatever that means. If you like the gift, enjoy! If not, sell it and get something you might like MORE! Either way, I hope you had a wonderful birthday, and it's just a small token from me to make it a bit nicer. heart

I know! I wish you had found the site sooner too!! But I'm so glad you're here now.

Everything else is just speculation, hun. Gaia recently laid off around half of its staff (developers; artists; etc), and now we're slammed with Cash Shop "offers" on a ridiculous level. I think many of us oldbies are upset because we ended up losing a LOT of gold (some lost billions....I lost tens of millions) because they seem to have no limits on what they will do to get cash now. I've been told to STFU and get out if I don't like it, but that's the general mentality of the newer users. I just shrug and stroll away. I've been here longer, and I'll leave when I'm good and ready! LOLOL

No. It actually wasn't, and that's why many of us whom have been on the site for years are slowly (but most surely) leaving.

Gaia used to be a fun hangout with the monthly Collectible release and a few EIs (Evolving Items) here and there. The big thrills were on Friday when we would see which items would evolve and what new poses they would have. The most exciting for me was the evolution of Alruna's Rose. Gosh, that was fun! Then the fifteen when we could get the sealed monthly envelope and wait anxiously for the first to arrive when we could all open the envelopes and see the Collectible inside. Seriously, it was so much fun, and there was a ton of gold to be made if you got lucky and bought many envelopes with something wonderful inside.

But Gaia is now ONLY about the Cash Shop, often with at least one or two new cash shop "offerings" every week. Then they started re-releasing items and re-coloring them. Values dropped and, with the release of Gaia's very first MC (they promised all of us that MCs would never be re-released,) trust in Gaia also wavered and that resulted in a large exodus of oldbies. But Gaia doesn't care. Many of us believe that the site is on its way out and that they're just cashing out before the site shuts down. But who knows?

A long answer to your short question, but that's the story....I've been new. I've been poor. I've been rich. I've been hacked (many, many, MANY vendors with millions were hacked at one time here a few years back). All told, I've enjoyed Gaia over the years very much, but I don't like what they've become. It's sad and rather pathetic, if I'm going to be honest.

LOLOL....don't I know it! For Cash Shop items, just move the decimal to the left two spots: a 500 GC item is $5.00. I won't buy from the Cash Shop because Gaia has gone overboard with being money-hungry and because all they do is re-release items now. I just don't bother. LAME-Os!! rolleyes

Thank you, sweetie! I guess it just kept my happiness at 100% even though I haven't done anything with my aquarium in months! I had many other fish on my main account, including the mermaids, but these fishies were still happy even though they were all dead! LOL...told you! Once you're there, you're there! All my fish are the freebies, so I don't know if I'll ever glow, but they're cute! Tap mine now and then too, and we'll keep 'em all happy! LOL

I think the sea horse is adorable too, but I'm also VERY partial to the cat fish, as you know! heart

Oh, it won't be anytime in the next week or so, so it's all good! LOL

As for my leaving, when the time comes, it will be because of the things we've mentioned: The Cash Shop; the lies they told us for years about not re-releasing MCs/DIs; the plan to drive the rich oldbies off the site. No worries for the moment, hun although I must admit I sold off around 90Million worth of goodies planning to quit after the whole Angelic Halo thing. Long story...Angelic Halo was the very first item ever released on Gaia as an MC/DI (Monthly Collectible/Donation Item) and those are supposed to be available for one month and one month only. That is, until Gaia wants cash for it, and they re-released it in (insert shocked face here) the Cash Shop a few weeks ago. It's a hierarchy of items that give other items (MCs at least) their worth. This kinda shook that hierarchy up a lot because suddenly newbies (no offense to you at all, hun) were able to become instant BILLionaires by paying cash for a decade-old collectible ten years after its initial release. We lost a lot of very rich, very old Gaians as a result. rolleyes

Ha! Honey, I think you're right, and there are MANY of us that think you're right about the plot against us. Especially those of us that have been on the site for years now. Oh well. The turds! Trust me, I'm watching my back and still reeling from the loss, but it's my own fault because I did what I said I would never do: Pay a high price for a RIG item, and Gaia is full of RIGs (amongst other things, but those "other things" start with the letter "S" wink . LOL

And a RIG is a "Random Item Giver"....the boxes that Gaia releases from the (insert surprise face here) Cash Shop. They re-release items all the time in those damn things, and I got nabbed. I paid 19Million for Waffles, and he's now worth around 5Million on a good day. ACK! Once bitten, twice shy, as they say. When I leave Gaia, I'll sell everything off and give the gold away since it didn't cost me a cent, but it will be bittersweet seeing the items I worked so hard for just going *poof* in the wind. Oh well. Until then, I shall wear my pixelated goodies and wish I could melt them down in my avi fire for gold! LOLOL

LOL...you are so right, honey! That's one bright side of Gaia. You wear stuff, then sell it. Sometimes even for a profit! And the best part: You don't even have to have it dry cleaned!!! Just take it off and *poof* sell it. Used, stained, whatever! Just don't go crazy like I did! I love the Gaia pets....especially the kitties and all was well until I bought Waffles days before Gaia re-released him in a RIG. I've lost tens of millions in the past few weeks, but oh well. Maybe I'll put Waffles in the fire with me tonight. Poor kitty! MEOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW
