i say take over the eastern block by political alliances, and then have them join our country by diplomatic means.

Except it would only take a few weeks to conquer the eastern mediteranean and would allow the navy to back up the troops on the ground already deployed in the middle east.

As for it being a morale boost, i'd say it's scary to them either way, as taking over the mediteranean would open the window for the rest of europe; where most of america's allies reside.

Kazakhstan has more than enough oil to allow the empire to wait to conquer the middle east, and not to mention the middle east is one of the hardest places to conquer on earth, only a few have managed such a feat, though that's not to say we couldn't.

I still say conquer the mediteranean first, so that the military can build a proper navy to go on to conquer the middle east from an eastern direction, starting with isreal and the surounding area
