Honestly, now that I have a black tailed coat with asymmetrically placed chains that is casual enough that I can wear it with jeans and a t-shirt I usually just do that... Though it's been so hot this summer that I haven't worn any jackets.

I wouldn't wear aristocratic clothing if it wasn't black. And why use ropes when chains are so much more stylish?
I'm not trying for perfect accuracy to the period. I'm not wearing it to go the Victorian equivalent of a Renaissance Fair (if there is such a thing). I'm wearing something that I feel looks good.

I don't want to look like a pirate. It's obvious by now that your aesthetics and mine just aren't compatible. And as I fit into well enough to be moderately comfortable and I am absolutely dirt poor, I think I'll pass on resizing it.
I gave you those brand names so that you could see what extreme sizing was like. The pants are... Impossible.

You know that I gained 30 pounds without growing upward? That's right. I was once 30 lbs lighter than I was in this coat. Considering that it was made for Japanese men (who, on average are shorter than I and also on average famously svelte). Both things to consider.
You want extreme? Check out the measurements for brand-name pants. Look up Black Peace Now for Men, Atelier Boz, or Moi Meme Moitie.

Either he's put on weight or stuffed his shirt. There are those who can wear form-fitting clothes without looking repulsive and those who cannot. It's not for everyone and you'll never hear me say otherwise. If that is an accurate representation of his figure, he is not in the former category and does well to wear expansive dress.
If you know where I can find a coat for less than a few hundred dollars that can provide tailed coats of high quality fabric and expert construction, than by all means tell me. Until then, I'll stick with this.

It looks like you aren't the least bit familiar with Eastern design, particularly modern Japanese aesthetics. What a shock it would be to your sensibilities if I were to tell you that the jacket contained a corset. You should probably do a bit of research on Victorian fashion in general if you're going to comment on modern variations, however flippantly.
By the way, I am wearing a jacket and pants that have no relation aside from being dark, formal, and form fitting. They were not conceived, constructed, or put together on the same continent, nor were they sold as a set. Therefore, a suit they are not, in any sense of the word.

It's called a "cravat" and the coat was designed with the intent of being worn with one. Given that it's a tailed coat, I imagine most people would call me that, anyway.

I'm well aware of the differences between genetically modified or engineered and "cloning". My sig was already close to sig limitations and the sentence took two lines if I used "genetically modified" food instead of cloned. The inference is the same- not the traditional foodstuffs. The banner makes it clear it's talking about genetically modified food, and thus my "cloned" food, would easily be assumed to be referring to genetically modified food.

Thank you for your concern, and also, this: =/= is incredibly ******** annoying to see in it's common usage. I am having my conversations in English. That means, say "equals" when you mean it, do not give me shitty mathematical symbols in a spoken/written, non-mathematical discussion.
