Rec. You are so, so amazing! I just need to tell you...I really do adore you! You are quite good at writing, so don't ever tell yourself differently, and you are vastly more skilled then I.
I was riveted by your post dear; captivated and bound by just how grand it was! I could feel it...and it was really spectacular! Just had to tell you now...you really livened up my day, and I think I'll be coming back to Gaia sooner....as that was just brilliant, vibrant writing...

Why angst? Hmm... aside from being thoroughly masochistic in that sense lemme see...

1) because pleasantry isn't realistic.
2) angst is easy to relate to
3) sadness draws you in, dragging you along until you can find some sort of happiness to relieve it.
4) because one of the biggest reasons people read and write in the first place is to become emotionally involved in something they can't or won't experience for themselves in real life. Angst is generally very emotionally involved, and in some ways could be seen as cathartic.
5) because being sad gives you a good reason to curl up beside someone for comfort.

*smacks Reckless' hands away from his arse which is sitting atop the box of the trapped angst eraser, putting the stories he was handed down somewhere and resuming his angst* Now, are you going to sidle up and cuddle for comfort? Or do you still not see the benefits of our wonderous interest? *tugs on the Brit's hand to draw him closer.*

*confiscates the angst eraser and puts it in a containment box* What were you thinking Tricksy! That thing is dangerous! *locks the box, eats the key and then sits on top of the box too just in case* Good thing there was only one of those ever made and we now have it safely enclosed. *pulls out a wonderfully angsty story and hands a copy to Tricksy and Reckless both before reading on of his own.* Much better. XD
