Aww haha, it's okay! I like that you talk so much! Still though, that's interesting, I didn't even know there was a character limit.
Also, bangin' song on your profile right now. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I'm totally going to do that while I type this out.
What are some of your more recent costumes? I do kinda lame ones like peasant Belle (my boyfriend was Beast which was cool though, he made the prosthetics for his face and everything) and last year I was a last minute Velma. There are a lot of costumes I would like to do eventually, but I have no idea how to make them. Also that is pretty sad that no one was doing anything for Halloween! There's a family close by me that turns a big portion of their house into a haunted maze type thing.
Aha, good to hear. Fires are always nice. Oddly enough though, I'm like really scared of lighters for some reason? I refuse to use them, and I cringe and get nervous when other people play with them. I don't even have some kind of past trauma or anything...
Hm, well actually I do enjoy guided meditation type things, now that I think about it. So I guess in that case it would make sense for the videos to have talking. But if it's just to meditate by yourself, I do see how it would be odd and take you out of the moment, haha. That makes sense, I do have those moments where I'm just staring and not even paying attention to what I'm thinking of, but it never goes beyond that. The other day, one of my professors mentioned how being on the pottery wheel is like meditation for him, it reminded me of you since we've been on the topic. I imagine it would be really helpful with relaxing, it would probably be good for me to try again because I'm like you and get so stressed out about everything.
Well that makes sense considering how many times it's used in anime. How prevalent is swordsmanship in Japan? Like, is it still a really big part of their culture? I feel like that's a stupid question, but I don't know much about modern Japan. sweatdrop Oh okay, it is easier to understand with the comparison to karate. So you still need that coordination, but it's more of a support system between the two? I feel like it would be hard to say which, if any, techniques are inherently "better"; I would assume it depends on how you use them.
How do you make safe arrows? Were they not willing because they didn't want to hurt you, or they just didn't feel like shooting arrows? I learned last summer that it's surprisingly hard to use a bow and arrow, at least for me it was. Do you prefer living in the city? I find it...really frustrating sometimes living in such a small town, haha. Cities do get kinda confusing when they're all divided like that. I assume you wrote more after that, but it got cut off. xd

Ahaha, I'd forgive you for ending the world if it was for some cheesecake. Totally understandable, really. Halloween, that's the one I forgot. I actually still dress up every year because I'm lame like that, but I refrain from trick-or-treating because people can probably tell that I'm an adult trying to get free candy.
Oh gosh haha, I hope you didn't hurt yourself! Fires are really neat though. I was never about roasting marshmallows (somehow I don't like them unless they're in a s'mores), but I always loved just watching the flames and, like...putting sticks in so the tip catches on fire.
Oh, okay! That's pretty cool that you have a whole routine that you do. I know I've been saying everything is "really cool" sweatdrop ... So what do you do when you meditate? The concept has always been kind of difficult for me to grasp, like, when people say to clear your mind. I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to do that. Are there different types of meditation? Heh, do you go through a lot of oranges by doing that kind of exercise? I did watch some videos of shotokan, I don't know how good of a source youtube is for that kind of thing haha, but I did see a little bit of what you were talking about.
Hmm, I don't know, I imagine using two hands on one sword would limit your movement a good deal. Is that more common in Japanese styles? Using two swords sounds hard too, though! A little bit like playing the piano with both hands or something, like you need to have that coordination. I never did learn how to use both hands for the piano. How do you deflect something instead of cut it, is there a big difference? Haha, more space would probably be good for something like that.
Ah okay, do you live in a busier kind of area? There's one karate school in my small town, but that's pretty much it. Can't imagine there being much demand for stuff like that around here. I actually think there's a larp group in another town that's somewhat close by, but I'm not sure. My boyfriend met a girl who invited him a few weeks ago, dunno yet if he's going to do it or if he just forgot. That still sounds pretty fun though, even if it's a little less impressive than what I originally thought. xd What kind of sword was it?
Oh boy, do you get hurt often? I mean, scars are pretty widely thought of as badass, so at least you got that going for you. Sounds painful, though. My sister had her thumbprint temporarily altered years ago from getting shocked, the skin where she touched the metal ended up peeling off. It was kinda funny at the time. Is it like a permanent numbness on your thumb?

Haha, it happens! I've been considerably more busy since classes started again, so I apologize for my slow responses.
Well I have just the recipe for you! It's literally just two blocks of cream cheese to a can of sweetened condensed milk, about 1/4 of cream, and however much chocolate you want in it. And then the base is just cookie crumbs and butter pressed into a cake pan. You leave it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight and it's done, and it's so good. emotion_drool
Aw, I'm sad for you. It always sucks having to throw away food, but it's even worse when it's desserts.
Yes! That's always the most exciting part of Easter and Valentine's day. I do plan on making cheesecake though, and a key lime pie because I've never had one and I saw a recipe a while ago that looks really good.
Haha, yes, you did mention somewhere that you're a fire elemental. razz I like to think of myself more as air since I watched Avatar haha. But yeah, Bionicle was super cool, but when I google them now I don't recognize any of them. That makes me a little bit sad. Heh, well sticks are as good as anything!
Oh okay, I thought you had taken lessons at some point. Where do you practice, then? There definitely is a stigma against self-taught anything. I guess it's pretty easy to miss the fundamentals when you teach yourself something, but it sounds like you've devoted a lot of time and research to sword training, as well as practice. How often do you compete? I never really hear about sword tournaments or anything like that, so that's pretty interesting! And congratulations on winning, however long ago that was, I feel like that gives you major bragging rights haha. I totally get what you mean about putting yourself down, I do the same thing with my art and I still don't know if it's a hindrance or something that motivates me to improve.
So in the tournaments, do you fight with someone else? I can see how that would be helpful when practicing, though. How common is sword fighting in your area?
Wow, it looks like it'd be heavy. It's really well-done though! Also very nice spare sword. I know you were talking about chopping wood before, but my first thought was still cutting the grass, Link style. Ever find rupees or other shiny things? Having a forge is really cool, but it's one of those things that quickly gets pushed behind all the other responsibilities we have, so it sucks. It was also mildly expensive to build, I believe? But he did use an old barbecue for it haha, so that probably cut down the cost.I don't know, to me forging seems kind of intimidating.

Ugh, that looks dangerously delicious. I guess it's a good thing I'm too lazy to knead the dough n shiz. That's a good point, though! But there are some flavours or textures I just don't like, like boston cream or flan. Oh man, do you like cheesecake? I have a banging no-bake chocolate cheesecake recipe that I'm gonna make for Easter. It's really good with berries, too. Frosting is one of those things that can be hit or miss, like it's really easy to make it overly sweet, and those supermarket birthday cakes have really bland frosting. There definitely needs to be a good cake-to-frosting ratio, that's something I try to watch out for when I bake. It looks good, but it's just too much sometimes. Heh, I like doing these for Christmas.
Haha, I was gonna ask about Bionicle too! My cousin had a bunch of those, they were so cool. I'm not even gonna begin to tell you about the stuffed animals I have on my bed. I mean, interesting and uninteresting is a good way to divide things, I prefer that to "boy" and "girl" toys. I did used to have a lot of fun playing polly pockets and army men with my cousin.
I didn't think there were other people who did that too! It's cool that you use it as a training exercise, is that common? You talk about your sword fighting a lot on the forums, it's always really cool to hear about haha. Sword + soccer ball is pretty hard on my wrists, I can't do it very much. xd My legs are much stronger, I should stick to just kicking the ball. It's interesting that you have strong wrists, like it makes sense but it's not something you really think about. Got a picture of your iron sword?
Does your brother-in-law have a forge or anything? My boyfriend made one and made a couple knives before he eventually had no time for it anymore.
Don't worry about sounding boring or pretentious! I want to hear about all this stuff, so long as you're willing to talk about it.

Oh man, gunblades. Now if there was one thing to take away from FF VIII, it was gunblades. That actually does sound kinda cool though, did you ever play with K'nex or things like that? I was just a typical girl and played with barbies and polly pockets. whee
Ahaha, tell me about it. A couple friends and I have spent days hitting a soccer ball with wooden swords. It takes a surprising amount of wrist strength!

Right? I love food that is also cute. Haha, I would like to make doughnuts too, but I actually really dislike working with dough. I do make cinnamon rolls sometimes though. emotion_drool I made bagels once too, which I assume is similar to doughnuts? But they were baked, not fried.
Ahaha, did you have a lot of alchemy adventures when you were young? The most I did was try to make soup by mixing a ton of spices with lukewarm water.
