It's far too late to say that.
G4 and the like are not what says something is a fighting game. They're s**t. Just because stupid people think it's something it's not doesn't mean it is.

It is accpted by the fighting game community as one; wikipedia lists it as one~
You can find it on databases as a fighting game under lists of fighting games. There are combo lists and strategy guides for the combos~
Get over it if you don't like it~

It's accepted by the Smash community as one.
Wikipedia is not a fighting game database. It can list Zelda as an RPG but it doesn't make Zelda an RPG.

Insulting Smash bros is easy. Insulting a whole genre by calling a bad game in a party game series a fighting game is horrible.
