I understand where you're coming from. I guess I just see it as its the holidays, people gotta lighten up a little bit. Well thank you for respectful response, it is appreciated. I accept your apology, and apologize as well for my post. Thank you.
A: Well during the Halloween event 2010 a phantom emerged and began gifting anonymously calling herself the phantom gifter. A guild was created, friends made, and the mystery remains."
Okay, so it's not a Gift Giving thread even though its called "Phantom Gifters" and by the first few posts, it is focused on Gifting numerous times. Yes, it also focuses on making friends, playing games, and having a good time as well.
She states in the rules no cursing. If you actually read through posts, you'd notice she herself used vulgar language numerous times. There's no reason necessary to. You can politely tell someone to "back off" or like you even said yourself "******** off" without using such language. If users aren't allowed to curse or harass other users, what gives the creator the right to? This user wasn't EXPECTING gifts, they meant that if someone did want to donate, and wanted an idea of what to donate possibly, there were some items listed on her wishlist.
This user did not break the rules at any point. I just don't feel like it was fair for them to be treated so poorly, when the creator could have simply just ignored the comment if they thought the user was begging. Or simply just deleted it. Of course people are going to get a bit offended and annoyed that people seem like they're begging, but hey, it happens in thread. Just ignore them instead of treating them with such hostility. If you took the time to read this completely, thank you. I don't expect us to see this situation eye to eye, but regardless, that user could use someone to stick up for them. Take care and happy holidays.
I noticed PLENTY of posts talking about receiving gifts. That user did NOT beg. She simply said "items are on my wishlist, merry christmas!" What's so wrong with that? She may have misunderstood the rules then, give her a break.
