Oh, I heard breeders are usually cheaper too haha. I'm trying to figure out what you meant by "It's easier to ask for forgiveness, than ask for permission." What did you mean? XD
Oh, my mom's terrified of snakes haha. I'm hoping maybe to sneak one in when I go to college XD I want one so badly. An employee at Petsmart once let me hold one, but the rest of the employees won't because, according to them, unless I'm buying the snake, I'll disturb it ):
no, i was telling you they are sweet
i love snakes
when i was little my brah went to sunday school and we learned about snakes
and touched them
we used to own one
but you have some really pretty ones
I gasped when I saw your siggy. I love ball pythons. They're my favorite animals! :3 I've been begging for one for years, but my parents still won't let me get one D:
Ahh, I didnt know that, I was just going by the reccomendations of the people at the pet store. They said larger tanks helps snakes grow better and that the light and rock were something I should look into.
Yeah I have a heat rock already for him, a large water dish, and one of those large, fake cave things from the pet store. I figured it was a big enough cage to let both be in there, but I guess that isn't a good idea.
I'd say it's around 75-80 degrees in there. I don't really have one heat side, since the heat lamp is one of those that covers over the entire back of the cage. He is a black and dark greenish-brown color.
Also, is it normal for them not to eat a lizard? Because in the cage with him lives a flat-rock lizard and they seem to get along. In fact half of the time the lizard sleeps under the snake.
He's about three and a half years old, about 2-3 feet long.
I feed him large mice or small rats. He only seems to eat when he wants to, whether he goes long without food or not. And he has never tried to eat darker colored rats, like black or dark brown. I don't know why, can snakes even see in color?
Nice pythons. I think mine may need to get laid, he's getting to be 'that' age for the talk.
I do have a question, are your snakes picky eaters? Because my python is very picky about his food, and I was wondering if that's a normal thing for ball pythons.
