Ishigaki had most of the feels in the episode, poor guy. It was nice to see someone on their team thinking long and hard about Midousuji's tactics and the cost of winning.

I ALSO REALLY LOVED THE SCENE WHERE THE TEAMS PARALLELED EACH OTHER WITH THE LOUD BRASH GUYS GETTING IN EACH OTHER'S FACES AND THE NICE GUYS APOLOGIZING TO EACH OTHER FOR THEIR TEAMMATES. IT WAS LOVELY AND GLORIOUS AND I HOPE THERE'S MORE OF IT IN THE FUTURE.

Also also, I AM SO PSYCHED FOR MORE KUROGANE AND FAI. THOUGH IF CLAMP PUTS THEM THROUGH MORE s**t AND/OR KILLS ONE OF THEM OFF, I AM GOING TO CRY.

"A new manga, a continuation of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, will start serialization in the September issue of Kodansha Magazine, due out on August 20, 2014. The series, much like its predecessor, will connect to the events in xxxHolic Rei."

I read that on a wiki, but it's also on Anime News Network. WHAT. WHAT IS THIS. I CAN'T EVEN. I AM SO HOPEFUL RIGHT NOW.

My only inflexible OTP in Pedal is Aoyagi/Teshima. Just because pairing them with anyone else is...my brain cannot comprehend. Just does not compute. I'm sure something might happen later in the series that might budge it, but for now...they are totally a pairing in my mind. And as you know I'm very, very fond of Toudou/Makishima. I don't have any other hardcore ships, BUT I SEE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES. Arakita/Fuku-chan is so adorable, though, I can really see it.

The Pedal manga was weird because it didn't...look like itself...for a while, if that makes sense. It took a bit for the characters to be drawn consistently, but it is really good and I would totally buy it if it came out stateside. I'm glad the volleyball manga is high-quality art like its anime incarnation! Someday I will check it out. Though I shall continue to be fairly unspoiled for a while, as it's fun.

My power was out this morning, which was...odd. And I assumed it would be out at work, since I work right up the street, but nope, we had power. And when I got home from work the power was back on, so yay. I didn't lose all of the groceries I had gotten yesterday! I agree that no AC (in my case, mostly dehumidifier) and no Internet are among the worst of no electricity. When it went out a couple of nights ago I managed to watch most of a DVD on my laptop's battery. xD

I think the only argument you'll get for Fuku-chan/Arakita are the Captain shippers. But I think I've seen some fics for that pairing on Archive of Our Own. It's been a while since I looked. I like that ship and am totally fine with it. *nodnod*

Haha, enjoy the volleyball manga! Is the art as pretty as the anime? AND YOU ARE POWERFUL. NEVER DOUBT IT.

They have to be having fun, making that show. If they're not, something is horribly wrong with them.

If you find that song, let me know where it is so that I can get it too! I still need to find the third opening and closing songs...

I don't know what caused it! They would just short out and then immediately come back on. Except all of our computers had to be turned back on, and the doors that shut whenever there's an emergency had to be opened, and I had to field calls from the security system people...and by the time that was over, the power went off again. It got to the point where I was rather annoyed with the security people who kept calling..."yes, it's just our power...it went off...again..." I do know that they were doing construction down the street, so it could have been that. It could have been caused by everyone in my area using their air conditioners since it was hot and humid today. Or I did hear rumors that a semi hit a pole. Not sure what the case was.

And then I got home and...a thunderstorm started...and the power went out for over an hour. OTL

Haha, I haven't read the manga on this one and I haven't been following it on tumblr and I haven't even looked at the Wiki (shock! gasp! surprise!), so I ACTUALLY HAVEN'T BEEN SPOILED FOR THE VOLLEYBALLS. I'm sure I'll break down and spoil myself soon. Don't feel bad if you accidentally spoil me. I AM OKAY WITH THIS.

Right now I'm liking Takeda and Ukai just because they are adorable adults, but I am getting rather fond of all of the volleyball boys. I haven't picked a favorite yet. Suga wins the "volleyball player I want to hug most" award, though.

I don't know if you've ever seen any video clips of the Ohio University marching band (not the Ohio State University one, though they have an awesome band for completely different reasons), but their cymbal players get pretty wild. xD

I can see Izumida naming his cymbals and then talking to both them AND his pecs. Andy, Frank, George, and Sam. Or something like that.

SABRE. I CAN TOTALLY SEE THAT. AND HE'D BE GRINNING THE WHOLE TIME AND PSYCHING EVERYONE OUT. (He'd probably lick the blade, too.)

I think it would be neat to go to Kyoto. It sounds like a spiffy place with lots of history.

MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER!

...I can just see Fukutomi and Kinjou competing in their baton twirling skills and Fukutomi's baton accidentally hitting Kinjou's and knocking him out of the competition and Fukutomi being SO GUILTY afterward.

Izumida I could see playing cymbals rather than sax. Gotta use those pecs and flex those muscles. The others I can see, but Onoda is so a clarinet player. He'd make an adorable flute player, but. He looks more like a clarinetist to me. xD

Midousuji would be in color guard and make all of the tosses with his crazy limbs and super flexible body.

Tadokoro and Onoda singing the Hime song together ought to be glorious. Also I imagine that more stuff about Shinkai should be coming up, as he hasn't gotten anything yet.

The only thing that makes me sad about seeing Teshima and Aoyagi as third years will be the fact that our loveable third years won't be around any more, which will break my heart.

They should do a Midousuji/CCS parody with Midousuji as the magical girl. I'm sure Tomoyo would make him costumes.

No, I have not read Pet Shop of Horrors, but it sounds intriguing. I'll have to check it out sometime. :3

I just have a really hard time getting into the art with American comics. I'm sure they have great writing and storylines and characters, but the art is just...not as generally pretty as manga. Judging on appearance isn't good, I know, but in a visual medium...eh. I mostly read Sandman because I like Neil Gaiman's writing, and it was rather good from that standpoint. Parts of it are almost xxxHOLiC-like, which is why I thought you'd like it.

I've not tried very hard to look for them, either, either in person or online. I remember back in college when I was at a con with some friends, and one of them mentioned buying doujinshi and I had no idea what they were. xD
