Two, actually wink
There's Valentines Day, where girls and women present chocolates to their boys and men, respectively. There's the love chocolate, which is only given to 'that special somebody' and obligation chocolate for everybody else.
Then, in March, there's White Day, when the fellas return the favor with candy and presents.
Considering all the omiyage and good will gifts changing hands all the time I'm surprised people have any money at all over here lol

Hey, it was good to hear. Jeans and tshirts are classic. Spending more money on clothes because they're fashionable is a waste. More important things to spend it on, for sure.
I'd forgotten about the buses, haha. Buses here rock. As do the trains, the monorails and subways (in Tokyo anyway). I'm gonna miss the bus when I come home. America really is behind in stuff like that, so why does Japan suck so much more at cleaning the sidewalks of snow?

Get some cucumber. Nothing can go wrong with cucumber. And Eggplant, if grilled with appropriate amounts of garlic. I was askin about the komart because in Montana it's awfully hard to find asian food markets.

Anyway, thanks for the little peek, even just that actually did help remind me what life's like on the other side. It's harder to remember these days.

It's actually not so different, it's just not convenient if you wanted to make roughly a pot full. In that case it would make sense to just get the actual miso and make some.
I am buying like two big things of miso to bring back with me, haha.
I don't know what to do about the natto though confused
You live in a pretty populated area, huh. So I'm guessing you have a korean food mart or something around?

I went looking for the pandas today and couldn't find them at the local grocery store. I'll check posful next time. They're a bit bigger. There's a new store in town too and it's carrying pretty weird things to try and get people to come shop there.

Sometimes I miss America. I wonder what's happening over there. Other than the political crap and stuff. Just like. Everyday shopping and commuting and eating. sweatdrop

Actually I have no idea what those are! Sounds like the choco koalas. Mayhaps a spin off!
I've gotten kind of used to all the cool food over here. But lately I'm remembering we don't have stuff like azuki in the states, which makes it 100 times more delicious.

I don't know hello panda... Is it a kind of cookie with chocolate on it? Is there a little comic on the back of the box? Because it might be "sakusaku panda". Which I enjoy very much biggrin
I like grocery stores here because there is an entire isle just for 'children's candy', which means the portions are tiny and they're all really colorful. I usually want just something small after lunch so it's way better than having to buy a big bag or box of sweets.
I felt like a creeper doing it but i took a picture of the tiny little baskets the kids can use to do their shopping lol
