it's okay just never beg. It will make the person want to donate to you less.
first get yourself in order. try to find little ways to make gold. Start out with puzzles or any of the games.
Then work your way up to tektek contests you can find in the chatterbox or avatar talk forums to win bigger amounts of gold.
then decide what you want (If you haven't already) and apply for charities in the charity forum. If you have a quest thread, then that's great because you're more likely to be accepted to more charities.

also: try to be their friend first? I mean it's like you're just trying to use me for money.
that's not nice at all and it makes me sad.
