Haha, that sounds awesome! I'm the same way. Stories based in reality generally don't interest me. I guess because I already know what real life is like, so I like to explore stories that are outside of reality.

So what genre of stories do you usually write? Mine have either been fantasy or sci-fi. I don't write realistic, slice of life stories very well. You write what you know about, so I guess I just don't know enough about reality, lol

Yeah, backgrounds can be pretty tough. I generally like to create a character I like and then go back and explain why they are the way they are, that usually helps generate background ideas for me.

Yeah, I used to do that more often, but now I tend to work on the plot first, since that's what I have the hardest time with.

Lol, that's so true. I hardly ever throw my drawings away; I like to go back and look at them every once in a while. I can usually see that I've improved, but sometimes it seems so weird because it seems like I'm getting worse at drawing instead of better!
