Well Steven did go on the roof during a thunderstorm in Future Vision and basically almost got hit by lightning, but Garnet saved him without him even knowing

They really can be. I hate thunderstorms at night because it's hard for me to sleep with the strobe lightning cat_stare
I wonder if Steven wanted to take Peridot around Beach City, but he could've just wanted to play in the rain...

Don't worry, it's been renewed for a 3rd season at Comic Con. Whether they'll defeat the cluster or still be on Earth is something we'll have to find out.
You should check out the episode list for second season. It's got some pretty interesting ones. Another is titled "Greg the Babysitter"
I think he'll end up babysitting Steven, Connie, and maybe Peridot, but that episode will probably air in late October or in November or possibly next year

I usually don't get thunderstorms much unless the weather decide to fluctuate a lot.
It mostly happens during the transition into Spring when we get the worst weather, but we've gotten some really bad storms during Fall and Winter.
I enjoy the random warm spells during the cooler seasons, but they bring the worst storms... eek

There is one episode title that really, really concerns me. It's titled "Last one out of Beach City"
Do you think that episode is suggesting that the cluster hatched or something like that?
Don't know when it'll air, but it's probably going to be one of the last episodes of this season

I'm afraid of severe thunderstorms, but it's mostly because of tornadoes...

I actually think they are making him stay to watch Peridot.
In the promo we don't hear what Garnet says before the promo starts, but I think it's implying that they're making Steven stay to watch Peridot.
